I don't agree with Chris because sometimes friends can uplift you when times are bad for you. Friends can drag you down if you have the wrong friends then you're stupid because they are definitely gonna drag you down the wrong path in life. Things including drugs and alcohol. For insistence teddy and Vern are are involved with smoking cigarettes. they were dragged down to see a dead body. But Gordie looks at is they are helpful to him because they make him happy and he surrounds himself with them alot.
