It's an "oldie" but I am going with
The Hundred Secret Senses from the Women's Prize list because I already own it and I am determined to make mincemeat of my huge TBR mountain next year lol

There is a new line of cozies that sounds so good about a breast cancer survivor who solves mysteries with her reading group. I think I'll go with that:
The Tuesday Night Survivors' Club
A Begonia for Miss Applebaum I guess Paul Zindel was something of an iconic writer for young adults in the 70's/80's and I want to see if his books are still relevant all these years later. Plus I needed a "Z" author for another challenge lol

My mom gifted me with a cute YA novel called
Sophomore Year Is Greek to Me a few years back. Seems a good time to read it :)

Thank you so much for the suggestions, everyone. I have indeed read The Wonder Boy of Whistlestop. I'll try The Lager Queen of Minnesota. :)
The Green Mile - it was set in the 30's :)

I have so many food cozies lol This is too easy. I should probably challenge myself to read something else for this though. I would love some suggestions of something in the vein of
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe I LOVED that book.
Dark Matter is alternate history. At least it was tagged that way 20+ times so since it's on my TBR gathering dust I'll read that for this task.

Choosing
The Lightning Thief so I can finally tackle that series already.

I'm the odd one out here lol I like YA for the most part. I have
When Dimple Met Rishi on my physical shelf so I'll read that one.

I have a ton of cozy mysteries on my shelf that need to be read and this one fits:
Murder with Reservations

I have sooo many books on my TBR and many are "unknowns" or obscure so this is a very easy/doable task. I am just going to use the random feature to choose one when the time comes.

Definitely Gillian Flynn with
Gone Girl

I like this task best: A book related to the year you or someone in your family turned 22.
I am choosing my mom. I just need a book from when she was 22 (1980). I am thinking:
Congo

I'm going with a short one:
Daddy-Long-Legs
