I agree with most opinions - good characters but implausible solution.I decided to jut enjoy and not think about the ending. Maybe we should write a better ending?

The Dowager Duchess sounds like an interesting mom. It was clever to have her to tell Lord Peter about the murder and giving him a way to get involved.
I had forgotten just how funny Sayers is. I love the way they kept referring to Mr. Thipps as "little". He's "little Mr. Thipps", "the little architect", "poor little man", "respectable little man", "nice little man" etc.

I really like the mysteries of this era and can't wait to start the Dorothy Sayers Challenge. I've read a few of her books and saw the Lord Peter Wimsey series by the BBC and would like to read the rest of her work.
I've never read John Bude and find that discovering new authors, new to me anyway, is a fun part of book clubs.
