In the US,
Death of a Busybody is $2 for Amazon kindle

I started
Suspects Nine and am quite happy as Bobby has returned to his London beat. My copy has an interesting preface by Curtis Evans.

I recommend Entangled Life for everything you want to know about fungi.

I finished
A Line To Kill (excellent series) and have to decide among our next Bobby Owen, one of two historical mysteries, or a new Mccall Smith,
The Pavilion in the Clouds.
I bought a book on a recommendation from this group,
The Stranger Times that my partner is reading and finding hilarious. We thank you.
Wayne wrote: "I want to reduce the batch to six, which works for me. When I access audiobooks, I always listen to it in bed, because, without fail I fall asleep. I haven't listen to one in a while."That is my problem as well so I seldom listen in bed. If I forget to set a timer the book can finish without me.

Ooh, enjoy, Sandy. I am looking forward to the next in the series, which is out soon."So, I'll soon be behind again. Sigh.
I really like the concept of this series, with Horowitz really, really embedding himself in the story.

I am about to strat one of my library requests,
A Line To Kill

While I agree this is not Lorac's strongest, I enjoyed my time with Macdonald, especially his interactions with the photographer. He was probably my favorite character and wish he and Macdonald could have teamed up in other books. Great atmosphere.
I completely forgot about the killing in the shower in Zurich so missed that clue entirely. I had the same problems with the plot as mentioned earlier. In addition, I wondered why the young woman and the false camel coat man happened to meet at old military position in a thunderstorm. Actually, Vienna came across as a very small town the way the passengers kept bumping into one another.

I quite liked this book though most of the legal subtleties were over my head. Pettigrew reminded me of Rumple with his constant conflict with the judge. I agree with an earlier comment, in that I both disliked and felt sorry for the judge.
Hilda was my only suspect as I eliminated everyone else, and she was always on the scene. The only motive I could think of was maybe she couldn't be sued if her husband died.

I am nearing the end and am completely in the dark. I have no suspects and not sure if there is a crime.

I gave Ravenmaster four stars for birds, history and excellent narration.

I've just started this and enjoying it enough to be glad we added the second as a buddy read. The judge is a character one loves to hate, but it was too bad about the trumpets.

As Doris posted, Brooklyn is available in US for $1. And Plumley for $4, but I found nothing for Murder by Experts. There may be only one Anthony Gilbert on kindle.
Carolien wrote: "I finished this today and enjoyed it overall. It did get a bit bogged down by Leyland and Bredon's various theories at some points and it is quite complicated to follow the final plot which seemed ..."Thank you for the reminder that Knox and Peck are siblings.
Carolien wrote: "I've started A Death in the Family which starts rather sadly with the murder of Kubu's gentle father. I really enjoy this series set in Botswana."I like that series as well. Hope it continues.
