Calix looked down at Lilliana's hand and placed her own in the other's, feeling the warmth radiating off the other's hand. "I'm Calix," she said, a small smile reaching her lips. It was something about Lilliana's way of speech and the way she held herself that made Calix actually smile. "I agree, it is peaceful here. It's like the world stopped for you at some moments," Calix said, pushing her hair back behind her shoulder and leaned back against the bench. Lilliana was probably the first human she has interacted properly since forever and somehow Calix didn't mind a bit because there was just something assuring about the other girl.

Calix raised her eyebrow and shook her head, "Nope, ain't waitin' for a train. Just here for some peace and quiet." Calix was amazed that the other would even consider continuing the conversation because honestly the girl herself was quite cold and she didn't like talking to people after the incident with her parents like the more she talked, the more she felt like she was giving away. "How about you?" Calix asked, "well, I mean, are you waiting for another train too?" She didn't expect herself to even ask a proper question but whatever, she did it already.

Calix looked up as she heard the soft rattling of the tracks as the train approached the secluded area. She saw a girl walking towards her and watched her every move. Calix was even more surprised that the girl would sit with her because she was the kind that gave off an aura that people should stay away from her. Trying not to be rude, she replied with a simple, "Hi." All this while, she held a calm and composed front though internally she wasn't exactly happy that someone had disturbed her peace and quietness.

Calix approached the train station and sat on one of the bench, looking out towards the horizon and thought about her family. She was tired of everything that had happened and being a solo traveler, she was pretty much lonely and when she chanced upon the train station along the way, she took the opportunity to go and explore t. There wasn't much there, and probably no one which fit Calix's requirements of a place to relax. She liked the silence that was enveloping the place and the slight breeze that came along ever so often.

Calix pushed open the door of the warm book store and went straight for the section that provided information on wolves. It wasn't like she didn't know anything about them, but she made it a point to visit different book stores in different areas of the place to see what they provided on wolves. She herself was a wolf, travelling and living each day as it were and so to pass time, she just wanted to amuse herself by doing so. Calix let her fingers trail on the spine of a leather book before pulling it out and flipping through the pages, her eyes twinkling slightly as she read its contents. The store was quiet, and she revelled in its silence as she immersed herself in the book. She always preferred solidarity since the incident, and the book store's ambience was fitting it quite well.

History

Grey.It was how she viewed her world now. It wasn't always like that though

Early days

Calix was a happy child, she never felt out of place in her pack and every one there welcomed her when she was born, as everyone believed that she would be as strong as her parents when it came to her hunting and leadership skills. This was because both her parents were mated since they were both Alphas of their packs. The united pack then showered her with love, putting Calix as the first priority. They would fight for her, do anything for her, and Calix, as a toddler then, could vividly remember her mother's warm smile and her dad's strong arms; cradling her, protecting her. She was brought up as a skillful hunter, learning how to run silently and blend in with the surroundings; which was easy for her because she had grey-black fur in wolf form and it was hardly noticeable in the darkness. In the day, all she had to do was to hide, and no one would be able to spot her except for her parents, who were the ones who honed her skills to such perfection.

Growing up

Growing up as kid was similar to as a toddler, but it was at this age where she was neglected a little because her brother was born. The birth of her brother, Callum, shifted all the attention from her to him; which she didn't mind, honestly, because she herself loved her the youngest pup in their family. He had an aura surrounding him, one that was proclaiming that he was a strong wolf; perhaps he might be even better than Calix. At this point, everyone was already training him starting from the age of 2 and it was getting frequent that Calix had to go for hunting and training trips on her own. She was the Outcast then, but she couldn't bring herself to hate or even despise her younger brother. Calix always gave in to him and stood one side when the pack wanted to do something with Callum. Her parents noticed her struggle, and tried to fit her in, but the pack was bent on Callum, still having the notion that he would be a better Alpha than her after their parents steps down. Calix, being the kind girl she was, gave way, and she decided, at the age of 12, to have a little expedition of her own; leaving the pack temporarily.

The Incident

It at the point where she turned 14 when a secret Messenger came to her and informed her that her pack was in trouble. Without any hesitation, she ran back to the forests, where her pack lived and along the way, she could pick up the scent of rogue wolves. They were wolves who were bent on tearing apart packs, literally, and at that time, Calix didn't know what to do. Her pack was already falling apart, she didn't know what happened; but she was ready to help. She saw rogue wolves fighting with her pack form the distance and it was a complete massacre. Calix saw her parents shielding Callum, whom at that time was 10 and they were trying not to draw attention. Calix transformed and joined in the fight, not wanting her parents to see her but her eyes gave it away; and her father came dashing out, demanding that she go and protect her mother and brother. Calix had no choice but to comply; but she was reluctant. She wanted not only to protect her family, but her pack, the pack that was once so close to her heart. She watched helplessly as her pack was turned into a bloody mess, and when she turned to ask her mother for permission; her mother nodded. Agreeing. And that was the worst mistake of her life.

The Incident Part 2

The moment she left her mother and brother, Calix realised it was an entirely wrong choice. She heard a painful howl, one that was filled with anguish and pain; Calix turned back. Her mother's throat was locked underneath a rogue wolve's jaws, slowly being torn apart and she watched with numb horror, not knowing what to feel. Her brother tried to help, he jumped on the wolve's back, but he wasn't ready. Her brother was thrown off, roughly, and he hit the tree, a sickening crack following. Calix knew that she had to help her mother and she ignored everything else as she bounded for the wolf, throwing him off her mother and with one quick motion, when he didn't realise, she tore his throat out, splattering the snow with red. But it was too late. Her mother was breathing her last. Calix was too late.

Finale

What remained of the pack outsted her, blaming her for her mother's death, for her father's paralysis and her brother's coma. They spat, yelled, howled and cursed her. They were enraged. The pack threw her out. And ever since, she became a lone wolf. She didn't want to be part of a pack anymore for she was afraid that she would do something regretful again. And that was why Calix's world turned grey.

It was grey ever since.
