17083 For those of you who haven't sampled my latest punk rock noir novel, "Every Good Boy Dies First", you can check out my latest blog post (another punk rock noir story), "The Pickpocket In The Slam Pit", seen here:

Runaways movie (10 new)

17083 To keep returning to the band reherasing in their cramped trailer over and over again was the most Ed Wood-move to a film I've seen in a long time.

17083 I also thought the ending fell flat. When Joan Jett and Cherie Currie meet up again via telephone on "Rodney On The Roq" there is no connection, no camaraderie, no conclusion at all. The scene falls flat because there's no point to it. The worst ending to a film I've ever seen.

17083 Ironically I thought it was a better Kim Fowley film than one on The Runaways, who displayed very little personality. Fowley came off as the only three-dimensional character in the movie.

17083 Who is your favorite non-US/UK band? For example, do you like:

Kraftwerk (Germany)
The Birthday Party (Australia)
The Raveonettes (Denmark)
Turbonegro (Norway)
The Hellacopters (Sweden)
Raw Power (Italy)
Radio Birdman (Australia)
King Khan & The BBQ Show (Canada)

Which band outside of the US or the UK do you like the most? Inquiring minds want to know.

17083 As books on punk bands go, many have been written about over and over again, like Black Flag, X, Blondie, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc. Which punk bands would you like to read a bio on the most? Some bands I'd like to see books on would be:

The Damned
The Misfits
Butthole Surfers
The Didjits
Gibson Bros

Which bands do you think have a long overdue book that you'd like to see written about them?

17083 You're not old, believe me. I remember seeing Roxy Music on their first tour (1972 A.D.) at The Whiskey A Go-Go when Brian Eno was in the band in his peacock feathers and eye shadow. My piss is dryer than yours, trust me!

17083 So you didn't think Keith Emerson sticking knives into his organ was punk? Hmmm....

17083 Although the name of our group is "From Prog to Punk" i'd like to know from everybody - are you more prog (Hawkwind/PFloyd/Procol Harum, etc.) or more punk (The Damned/Sex Pistols/Stranglers, etc.)? I like both camps, to be honest, but what are you preferences? And why?
