170053 Frankly, I don't understand what the GOP is doing. None of the top candidates are even real politicians....like, what has this world come to?

170053 As it turns out, my bf is probably going to be working that weekend, so it's unlikely we'll do much. I don't have money to throw together my epic Bast costume anyways...

Might just watch some scary movies and drink pumpkin cider.

170053 Yeah, sometimes it's just easier to be single and not deal with all the hassle of a relationship. There are some days where I feel the same way.

170053 So my absolute favorite time of the year is fast approaching - Halloween/Samhain - and I was wondering what everyone had planned for the spookiest night of the year?

170053 It's a bummer that it didn't work out for you.

170053 I think these days I do most of my clothing shopping at Goodwill.

170053 Interesting.

I think it's an interesting idea, but every culture's idea of karma is also radically different. In my own experience though, I've never really seen karma do what it's meant to - sort of in a "goes around, comes around" kind of way. Too many good people continuously suffer and too many jack-a$$es get away with their nastiness.

170053 I'll start us off with a fun question: Do you believe in karma?

170053 Very cool.

170053 I never read any of the Divergent books. I guess teen based dystopia isn't really my thing. :P

Jane Eyre is a classic though, so if you want a break from trilogies that's a good option.

170053 Ah, I'm a bit familiar with Kamelot. A friend in high school was pretty into them.

Right now I'm really digging on Siouxsie and the Banshees. Especially they're kind of Halloween album, Juju. <3

170053 Yeah, they didn't tell me why, just left a message on the phone that they wouldn't need me for the position. Maybe they found some more qualified candidates. It happens.

I did apply at the local library recently, so I'm crossing my fingers for that one.

170053 That's really cool Wren, I found Wicca back when I was in high school and though I practiced it for a while in the end it just wasn't right for me. I am a practicing witch and I have had "pagan" tendencies, even though I don't call myself a pagan anymore.

But certain deities have gotten my attention in the past and I do work with some of the Fae or little folk.

Michelle, that seems to be a common origin I find in most pagans or Wiccans. A lot of people came from some sort of organized religious background and then found their own path.

I guess that makes me a bit different. I was raised agnostic. :)

170053 Wow, that sounds like quite a predicament!

170053 Well I guess it doesn't matter much what the protocol would be - I didn't get the job. Back to square one.

170053 I think the schools start up here like, the first week in September.
