Todd’s comments from the Widespread and Weird Book Club group.

Our society relies heavily on sight. If the entire population were to go blind in a short time period we would be unable to maintain any sort of structure. Without structure people would tend to revert to survival mode and worry about only themselves and their family. I think that the collapse of society would be swift and brutal.
