166632 Hi there everyone.

Nobody told me how tough being an indie author was, especially the promotional part after you publish a book. It's a constant battle to get visibility!!

Anyway in that regard, I would be honoured if you would check out my current release Veritas: It's always the truth that kills...

It is a book about Truth (Veritas if you don't know is the Roman Goddess of Truth - found in a well holding a mirror). The truth is often hidden and can reflect back on us, and I used this premise as the foundation for my book, set way into the future on the planet Pluto. All the characters in some way have to deal with the Truth.

Veritas takes on many current and historical issues, and places them into a hypothetical situation in the future within our Solar System, reflecting them back on you, the reader. It is a one stop shop, no prequel or sequel planned - just a stand alone story that builds and builds to an incredible finalé....

I hope you will check out my book (published in late February) and enjoy reading it....

166632 Hi everyone - want to introduce my new book...

VERITAS; It's always the Truth that killls....

I published it a week and a half ago, and so far the reaction I've had is pretty positive. By trade I am an Astrologer, and so much of my knowledge of the planets went into the book - it's very subtle though and I meant it that way. VERITAS is a Sci-Fi epic that I believe goes much deeper and philosphical than most other Sci-Fi books around in the genre. It does start off slowly and it builds and builds - there is a really good story in there, involving political intrigue, family dynamics, power and betrayal, action, adventure, war and mysticism. Yes it's got all that plus it tackles the danger of Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change, Greek Mythology and Orwellian themes. Shakespeare influenced me too in writing it!! And beneath it all is my overriding motivation to writing it - how we as humans deal with the Truth, in all its forms...

You might not think it is possible to combine all these issues within a coherent novel, but I challenge you guys to read it, and pass judgement. Links are below as well as my dedicated web page for the book...

I'd love some feedback and honest critique...

Thanks a million,

166632 Hi everyone. Grad to join this group. IN the past couple of weeks I have just published my debut novel VERITAS; It's always the Truth that kills. I wrote, it, proof read it, designed the cover, doing the marketing, published it. As you guys will know, and now I appreciate, it's a lot of work!! More than I thought. Now it's the even tougher part, trying readers to get interested in it. A book is nothing without readers.

Outside of writing, I am a travel executive of 30 plus years, a DJ (I had my own radio show), blogger and Astrologer - yes this was my route into a love of Space and the Universe. I also have a connection to Star Wars - my father met George Lucas in his work, and my brother worked at the very warehouse where the spacescraft used in the original Star Wars film including the Millenium Falcon and the Death Star were made!!! Maybe all this was written in the stars, and i was destined to write a Sci-Fi book??

I think that i have created something very special, but it's not for me to pass judgement. I also want on this group to get ideas how you guys got the word out about their books - what strategies you used - what worked and what didn't?

Anyway hope you welcome me to your group,

Paul....
