I assume you mean Through a Glass, Darkly by Jostein Gaarder?

50x66 I did dislike the fact that these puzzles weren't for us; they were just for Wade and the others to solve. But very few books actually leave enough hints to allow careful readers to figure out how to do something / what to do next. (A Song of Ice and Fire does this a lot, in case anyone cares.)

Huh, I didn't really expect the book to talk much about that, so it didn't bother me, but now that you mention it, that would have made it so much better! A sci-fi book combined with a more Orwellian commentary? Would be awesome!

50x66 Nominate the books you'd like to read for the next month! We can leave the thread open for 3 days from now, and then there'll be 4 days to vote on the poll.

Try to nominate books less than 500 pages to give everyone a fair chance of reading it!

I'd like to nominate To Kill a Mockingbird

50x66 Personally, I quite enjoyed the book, but it wasn't *exceptionally* good or anything. The plot kind of reminded me of the 39 Clues series, which was pleasant, because I loved that series when I was younger.

My favourite line in the book:

“You'd be amazed how much research you can get done when you have no life whatsoever.”

50x66 Hopefully, we're all done with the book by now. You can discuss the book here!

50x66 If we want to read a technical book, I'd prefer to go through You Don't Know JS or something.

We can vote on all the nominated books and just see what people want to read, though.

I'll nominate Ready Player One.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

50x66 Which books would you like to nominate for the first month of the group read?

Try to restrict yourself to books that are less than 500 pages to give everyone a chance to read them within a month! (Or more / less, if we think we should have a different time period for every book?)
