hello there, Kell:) I totally agree with you and your biblio-addict situation. What I tend to do is: 1) Have, to start, 2 books that I'm reading at the same time, usually fiction: 1 for 'at home' and one for 'the train' (I live in NYC) or anywhere else that I carry in my bag. 2)A spiritual/religious/self-help book 3) A biography or memoir and 4) A non-fiction, factual historical type of read i.e. "The Great Mayor: Fiorello LaGuardia and the Making of New York. This process seems to work for me. I have quite a few books (350-400) of which more that 3/4 I have not read, at least cover to cover, sitting on my bookshelf and overflowing onto the floor and all the way to my nightstand but this STILL does not stop me from 'adding' 'to-reads' to my goodreads list and stopping to look at books....ANYWHERE THEY MAY BE!!!! Old, new, fiction/non-fiction, biography, tpb comics etc., etc. so as you can see I have a itty bitty problem;p but I've definitely seen more detrimental not to mention downright DEADLY addictions, afflictions and diseases so I don't think my "Obsession" with all things made of paper, ink and bound in cloth, leather or hardened carboard is a bad thing. Well thanks for listening and down hestitate to write back.
Bye for now,
Adam C.
