awesome!!!

Salem didn't dare look at her. He just nearly killed her and she didn't seem to care. He looked up and teh rain stopped around him. Then just as swift and sudden as it came the clouds parted and began to clear. "I'm sorry..." It was all he could say to Kalii. He was frozen in fear and pain and covered in just as many cuts and bruises as Kali now if not mroe given he was only in his underwear. He didn't know what else to say to her but he was sorry. He couldn't imagine anyone loving himafter what he had just done. Damien probably would have tried killing him himself. Variel would have stopped it simply to calm him downa dn avoid violence, but as Kali spoke about him being loved he still didn't believe it. "I graduate this week...I go back to school tomorrow and friday I graduate. I will Ascend jsut as soon and I won't make people hurt or worry anymore. Thanks for making me think I'm strong, but I know better. I've decided after my Ascension I am leaving the Coven. I'm leaving Grievance Ridge. I'm not going to burden you or anyone else anymore with my uncontrollable surges of power. It has been two days and already I have discovered two knew abilities because I'm powerful, but not storng enough to control it." He explained feeling nothing but guilt, but clear on his features his mind was amde up about leaving. It would have to take an act of God or Satan to stop him.

((@Kaley, Have a good time in Chicago.))
((@KT, don't forget to post as Max.))
Damien lost his smug grin as Variel began to fuss at him. He was not too keen on being fussed at. Infact his grin turned quickly into a more threatneing look. "I revealled your brother for what he truly is. He is a cursed mortal and on top of that he is a hunter." Damien grabbed Artemus's jacket formthe floor and opened it up revealing an arsenal of weapons agaisnt Witches and Familiars. "Your loving and kind brother came here to dispose of us!" Damien said abit irritated that Vari wasn't grateful. "You can thank me anytime now for saving your life. He has the curse of Asmodeus. He is a European Incubus and he would ahve killed all of us with ease of seduction. You must not have realized how much eight years apart can change someone, Variel. Your brother has killed my kind and your kind and has given no second thoughts about it. He is a murderer even more so than me!" Damien then remebred Aurelia was here he quickly changed the subject back to Artemus. "Your brother was going to come here and think he was saving you by killing me and it would ahve killed you too. Then there would be no life for a child. I won't let him hurt any of us. I will not dare have you hurt!" Damien insisted coldly. The snake in the box shifted slowly stirring awake. It began to hiss furiously.

Salem glared at Kali, "Don't lie to me!" He was certainly in no control of the storm and it seemed that the storm wasn't reflecting his emotions any longer. Now Salem's emotion's were reflecting the storm. He was losing control of his power and himself. "You don't think I'm strong enough...No one ever has. You may not see your strengths but you hold use to the Coven. I have no uses but to be cared for like a child! Guess what, I'm no longer a child. I have full capability to care for myself and others. don't worry you and Damien won't have to worry about me anymore!" He was so angry and the rage seemed to be building in him and the storm. Tornado funnels were forming in the sky all over. It started hailing, but Salem didn't seem to notice. "I won't be treated like a child anymore! I refuse to have everyone worried about poor little helpless Salem!" Suddenly, lightening struck nearly every light pole on the block causing sparks to fly everywhere. Car alarms began going off and faint screams could be heard all around. Then the town storm sirens went off. Finally, nature seemed to have had enough of Salem's antics as well as lighening swirled with the clouds directly hitting Salem in the chest. The bright light and explosion left an imprint of his shadow on the pavement. Salem collapsed steam and smoke coming off of his flesh. He stood a bit dazed and for amoment the storm went eerie and silent the roaring of winds swirling above and the rain had stopped. Then without thunder lightening began to flash everywhere. Salem looked to Kali in shock at how he nearly killed her. He left no sorry or explanation. He had almsot killed Kali. He raced off down the street without another word. The skies remained dark and silent as silent lightening continued to flash. Salem ran until he couldn't anymore. He pressed his hands to his knees bent over and began to cough breathing heavily. He looked back and saw the damage he had caused. They were right he had no control. He was only useful for messing things up. He finally fell back resting against a tree running his hands from his face to his hair tears streaming and then a light rain fell in a circle only on him. What was he doing? The lightening had stopped finally and the skies didn't seem any better. But the rain was a bit of relief from the concentrated storm he had summoned only moments ago. He bent his knees up resting his arms on them as he pointed his head down simply crying like a child.

As the vehicle came to a stop Ash noticed a motorcycle. But thsi oen wasn't anything like Reyna's it was very different. "Who would be here?" He asked as he looked up at hte skies turn form clear blue to a stormy grey then nearing blackness blocking out light entirely. Rain came down hard and lightening flashed. It didn't look good at all and ash was feleing that a Witch had to be the source because weather changed quickly, but not that quickly. "The weather report for the day said sunny cloudless skies...Wonder who is making this." He said quick to roll the window up. He could hardly see the hood of the vehicle formthe thick rain. It wasn't looking good. Only the skies could be seen clearly and they weren't at all friendly looking with lightening and loud thunder booming. Ash could ahve sworn jsut a few miles down the road clouds were swirling and the clouds were moving form every direction as if drawn to a single point.

Salem looked down at his legs seeing a scar on both sides of his left leg. "Damn, must have been pretty bad. Wait...what? No! I want ot stay here. I have offensive powers jsut let me prove myself. I promise I cna do it. You won't need to protect me if I can protect us both. I can control the wind. I can manipulate memory and you said someone would help with that. Come on, don't make me go back, please!" He said desperate to stay now. He wanted to prove he was independent and didn't need anyone to care for him. He could do it himself. "Please, give me a chance to learn and I cna be ready for the both of us. I don't want to go back home feeling like a disappointment to you too. Please...jsut let me try. I promise I cna do it." He said pleading and his emotions showed hard inthe weather as a storm started to come over head rather unnaturally quick. He was getting frustrated and a bit mad, but also sad. He gritted his teeth and tightenedhis fist. "Nevermind. I kdon't need to prove anything. I'll show you, Damien, and everyone else who doubts me!" He didn't care if he was in his underwear. He ran outside and lightening flashed as soon as he slammed the door thunder booming so loudly it felt like the gorund was shaking and it was a lasting thunder. A constant rumbling in the air and earth. Salem stood outside breathing hard as rain came down like a curtain draping in one wave as lightening streaked toward the trees threatening to cause harm. It was then that Salem came into a deeper ralization of himself. He looked upa t the sky and screamed extremely loud and as if on que the lgihtening struck the street and the thunder sounded as though a train wreck was taking place all around. His veins heightened and his aris stood on end. The clouds were coming together swirling from four different directions. "I'll show them all!" He threatened tot eh skies as the light fo the sun was blocked entirely making it seem almsot like night as the rain thickened in a heavy sheet. People who were walking aorund started running with newspapers over their heads and rushing for shelter. Salem was pissing hismelf off mroe and more and closer to his Ascension he was coming into his pwoers at an unsteady rate which was much liek puberty hormone changes and fluctuations in the voice. It wasn't a good thing.

[End Scene]{Max and Ash drove to Devereux Residence}

Salem looked completely oblivious to what was going on, "Wait, what? I don't remeber any of that happening. I remember us going back to the house after walking aand Damien and variel left. You said I could lvie here and then everything is a bit fo ablur." He said rather confused by his own story and trying to compare it to hers and where the link was that he was missing. "Wait, who is Rex and Ayena? I don't remember either of those people." For a guy with memory manipulation he really had a long way to go before he could fully control any of it. "If I was captured how did you know where to find me? Did I give them any information on the wort?" He asked curiously entirely fearful for who he might have exposed as a Witch.

Damien turned once he was sure that they left. "Alright, so, Mikah...Just why does Aurelia call you hunter? It wouldn't be an occupational name would it?" Damien spoke with a calm air about him. His hands pressed against the bar as he spoke. "You know what I am and that story about Aurelia being your co-worker is bullshit. She is one of my Coven's Elders. Do not underestimate her. So go on, hunter...tell me why are you really here?" His eyes narrowed and his jaw was tight again.
Artemus smirked, "You can call me Artemus. Variel is my sister and she is trapped here under your enchantment. I've come to free her." He was very plain. "I've come to kill you and the rest fo your Witch brood."
Damien tightened his hands into fist until his knuckles turned pale. "Stay away from my family...That include Variel." He then laughed lightly with a clear intent to make Artemus angry, "Funny, she doesn't seem to think there is any enchantment upon her, but the one that bonds her soul with mine. She is my Familiar. Your sister did something stupid in her past and convinced a Witch to heal a friend of hers with cancer. Well she actually threatened him and my Coven doesn't take kindly to threats."
Artemus looked shocked for a moment before his own eyes narrowed with an intent to kill. He leaped form his seat quickly and held is blade in hand about to slash at Damien, but Damien was fast with magic and using telekinesis slung the brewing pot at Artemus. The liquid fizzed on his skin as he screamed in pain. "What have you done to me!?!" Damien moved around the counter, "I know there is mroe than jsut being a hunter to you. I'm revealing the true you." Artemus felt hsi bones crack and snap into new positions as he shrank into his snake form. "The Curse of Asmodeus. Nice, I enver would have wasted something like that on a Hunter, but I guess it works. Now, my Familiar, your sister can see you for what you truly are." He grabbed the snake by it's tail as it fell limp. The potion revealed his true form and knocked him unconscious. "Now, let's see what your sister has to say..I'm sure your painful scream alerted her." Damien held the snake and put him into a small woven box with a lid. He began to bind the lid in red and black ribbon. then he tied them together with a purple ribbon. "Variel! Your brother needs you." He called out.

Ash stepped to the car with the two civil war revolvers, the beretta M9, and the military standard shotgun. He put the shotgun next to the sniper rifle and put the revolvers in the back of his pants and the m9 in the front. "Can I happen to have my shirt back now?" He asked seeing she ahd changed otu of hsi underwear and hsi shirt. "I would rather my weapons be concealed." He said as he climbed in and sat down. He pulled his seatbelt on. "I'm ready when you are...I guess if you don't have it."

Salem started stirring awake. It was evening finally and he woke up with a slight startle. He held his head with a major headache. He looked aorund finding he was in KAli's room. He was oblivious to the events that took place last night. It was the wort. It made Witches speak the truth and then forget they ever spoke the truth in heavy doses. In smaller doses it simply made them speak the truth. He walked out of the room finding himself in just his underwear. When did he strip down? "What happened?" He asked himself rubbing hsi head. He didn't have nay clothes here and he had no idea where his clothes were. He opened the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water. He turned it up and guzzled it down quickly. He tossed it into the trash with a frown as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Kali?" He called out looking around clearly dazed and confused.

Ash nodded, "I would prefer you drive, as unsafe as it is to drive our stolen vehicle I feel safer in it. The windshield and the metal that makes it up is bulletproof too. Ash straightened himself..."Shall we now that we have enough weaponry to take down any number of hunters up close or form afar?" He asked with his usual charming smile. "I'm quiet eager to find Damien Devereux. I want to learn my secrets and Kali and Reyna both have made it clear it is off that iron doesn't affect em and therefore I must be mortal. I feel differently though." He said not about to give up so easily on a lifetime pursuit for answers. He knew that the words Salem recited to the Hunters meant him and that meant he was powerful and he was indeed a Witch. He didn't know just how powerful he was. If he was truly the next leader of the Coven he would find himself to be the first High Priest to rule a Coven after passing the Seven Trials of Hecate. He was unaware that Damien Devereux already held the title of High Priest which meant that he would have to be overthrown or step down.

Artemus looked at Damien who was leaned against the bar on the opposite side where Artemus and Aurelia were seated. He was staring holes through Artemus. His arms crossed and his jaw locked tightly. His jaw muscle could be seen through the sides pulsing with his heart rate. Damien nodded, "Right then...I'll make us some tea...I may be American, but I know how to make a good British tea. Damien grabbed a pot but didn't go for the tea instead he went for a mixture of herbs and vials on the other side fo the room. herbs used for witchcraft. Damien started brewing and instantly the room began to smell like a crisp tea as steam boiled up from the pot. He was whispering rather silently and when no one was paying attention he wold say a few silent words under his breath.
Artemus wasn't stupid he knew very well damien was a Witch, but now he wondered if his sister even knew. She was in great danger. "Variel...Why don't you let me and Damien get off on a right foot rather than come together with such suspicion of one another. I can see you are tensed and I think it best if we have a one-on-one with each other we will learn to cope with both of us being able to love you."
Damien nodded, "Mikah, sorry...Hunter is absolutely right. I think we jsut got off on the wrong foot. Perhaps some alone time will suit us. Okay, baby?" Damien said with a charming smile. Already Artemus was reaching his hand into his coat. Deep down Artemus was hoping that his sister wouldn't recognize Aurelia. Aurelia knew them so obviously as an Elder they knew her as well.

Ash followed after her loading the gun with ease and firing three bullet at a target making a single large bullseye hole. "Oh yes...I'm enjoying this gun a lot. I think I'll use this one. It is mroe modern than the other pistols, but it is certainly a good gun to give our armed forces." He explained with a smile. "So I expect we should be heading out now, then?" He asked curiously. He was beginning to wonder just why he might need a gun. Could the hunters ambush them? Would they wreak havoc in town openly? He had to remain with a steady mind and keep his head straight. He had to remain focused at all times on everything around him.

Artemus was happy for a moment to hear what his sister has been up to then when Aurelia spoke he glared back at her before looking at his sister. "It's nothing...And as far as the accent goes I don't go to Greece you could be Canadian for all I know...Ignore her, sis. She called me Hunter because it's what I go by now and well...pointy objects...I threatened her with a pen once...She is also a bit delirious from a shellfish allergy I had to give her a vaccine for and well she is under the delusion that Damien here is a warlock or something and is holding you captive..." Artemus rolled his eyes having felt he played that off abit well. He turned on Aurelia for a minute and gave her a cruel look. "You gonna invite us in or are we going to have to come in of our own accord?" He asked his sister with a raised eyebrow.
Damien looked at him curiousy, "Yeah come on in..." He said as he opened the door more fully for the two to come in. Artemus gave a nod and stepped in. Damien then led them toward them through the living room and toward the kitchen as it seemed to be the only room left untouched. "Let's sit at the table and I can get some drinks..." Artemus nodded pulling out a chair and sitting. "Funny accusation that was for your friend...what sort of shellfish allergy was it?" Damien asked curiously clearly not being fooled by some story. Artemus was a hunter and whether he was actually Vari's brother or not he was going to put up a fight and have to be killed. "Just an oyster allergy...We were at Devereux Lounge when it happened..."
Damien nodded, "I see....I find that odd given I don't think my lounge serves oysters."
Artemus nodded, "Right well it must have been a mix up..." Great now the Witch was on to him. Damien was on the list and Damien was worth a pretty penny. Artemus was determined to get his sister as far as possible from here once Damien was killed.

Ash examined the guns. "What is this one called?" He asked grabbing a Beretta M9. They were currently in full use for the military forces. Ash held the weapon in his ahnd with agrin, "This one simply feels right. Do you mind?" He asked as he held it out like he was aiming. He smiled a bt more. "You ave a splendid arsenal. I'm sure if anyone needed somewhere safe to stay this would be the place. You could hold off an army with these weapons." He said rather intrigued how women in the world have come form working in the house all their lives to serving in wars along side of men. It was amazing and wonderful. Ash hated the new age and at the same time found it's new more modern progression fascinating. He would certainly need to take time to get used to such things.

((Kt's turn))

((gtg goodnight and until tomorrow.))
Ash listened to her intently with interest. He looked over the photographs and simply smiled, "I can tell you think of him very highly. My respects to you and your honourable family." He said with a nod before moving to the weapons. He figured it best to drop any more small talk with her because clearly even that brought forth a bit of violence in her personality. She held everything seriously and he began to wonder when the last time was that she actually smiled and laughed genuinely not sarcastically. He hovered his hand over the weapons and found hismelf drawn to the shotgun. "I like this one." He said before he moved to what he hadn't seen in years. "And these." He said handling two Civil War Era Colt 1860 Army Revolvers. He felt comfortable with them and it made him smile. He spun them and then clicked the lever pulling the trigger to a blank. "Oh, yes...I really like these." He looked around for a minute. "I would like to tryout something modern...Silver...steady weight handgun...any preferences?" He asked examining her arsenal.

Ash climbed out and followed like a lost pup looking aorund curiously while keeping up with her at the same time. "I am sure he was a good man to have raised such a skilled soldier. Perhaps I could have met him in my past or someone of your family. Does military go back far in your bloodline?" He asked with a rather comforted look. He couldn't explain the ease he was feeling around Max, but it wasn't natural. "I served in three wars and it wasn't easy. Adjusting tot eh weaponry and the sights. Eventually, I mastered how to sight a Civil War era rifle like a modern day assault rifle. I will not be prideful, but I assure you I am beyond modest about my own talents and the talents of others. You certainly have skills. You have proven yourself to others time and time again I am sure...You proved yourself to me last night. Whether it be on purpose or not." Ash said with a light and kind smile. "If it is not too much to ask, could I question your reasoning behind choosing to remain and Sleepwalker instead of a Familiar? I think you could make an excellent guardian to a Witch." He tried for a compliment, but he was still trying to figure Max out. It was harder than most people were and she wasn't one to amke anything easy, figuring her out was clearly one fo those things.
