There was an impossible sense of relation in the lone figures that straggled outside her window. The large bay windows, mind you, of relative wealth and ennui. Desdemona looked on as one person cut her hedges, and another pretended a stance of labor whilst smoking a cigarette aimlessly. There was a collective sighing from all three parties, though two were not as pronounced. There was a tiresome ache of frustration that burned a pit in Desdemona's stomach, but it would never ebb. It was the size of a fist, hot and unrelenting. Frustration, though, was only a mild side-effect of the true fire.

Her lips, pink and delicate like a rose, parted in yet another sigh before closing around the porcelain of her coffee mug. Like everything in her home, it was a soft off-white color. A deception of hue, or rather, the lack thereof; just as she was a deception. She was a simple host of complexity, a mortal figure in the eyes of those ignorant. But, most of all, she was a confidant for those that thought she could keep their secret. It wasn't a secret she wanted to harbor, all these things they said to her. What she truly wanted a burning of everything and everyone.

But, that was besides the point. She was a hollow vessel, aside from that raging fire of vengeance and violence. Another sigh, another sip, and she moved away from the window at last. If the eyes were to window to the soul, she supposed as she closed the shutters, then it was best that she kept them devoid of entry. There were things within her that she suspected could burn a person at a glance. (hide spoiler)]
