Chapter 49 - Chapter 56 (End)

The ending was unexpected, and it definitely doesn't make me want to continue with this series.

In the last few chapters, it felt like the word 'love' was used a few times, but they were empty words since there wasn't much development.

I don't really understand what more can happen, mostly because this story is cut off from the outside world.

Chapter 32 - Chapter 39

(view spoiler)[The trials are interesting with how they relate to Nyaxia's journey/life.

There still weren't many scenes showing Oraya and Raihn interacting with each other, because most of the time it just tells you that they've been training.

When they went to visit Mische, someone called Oraya by a different name and now I'm wondering if they used to know her when she was small, since she did live in Rishan territory.

I don't really know how many trials they have left, but I'm curious to see how they are both going to survive. Will the Rishan attacks stop the trials?

Chapter 24 - Chapter 31

(view spoiler)[I'm finding Oraya's distrust of Raihn really annoying. The scene where Raihn is taking her to a pub but she resists because she's sure that he's going to succumb to bloodlust as soon as he walks in was very annoying. She sleeps in the same apartment as him for a while now (so he could have attacked her at any time), and how many times has he been around her when she was bleeding out and lost consciousness?

The trials are kind of interesting, but for me, it's missing the action. It feels like most of the time when there is a fight, the writing kind of zones out and instead says that it was chaos/a blur of blood, claws etc. I wanted more detail on what exactly was happening. The details would also make Oraya's magic clearer.

I think this is just me, but I don't fully grasp the rules of this world. The whole rebellion thing is unclear to me, but at the same time she's not clear on it either since Vincent doesn't want to tell her anything. Also, I feel like either I don't understand the Moon Palace and the trials, or the rules keep changing. I thought that the Moon Palace was a magical place that kind of kept the contestants there, and then the explosion threw me off. It feels like the trials aren't all that serious.

Chapter 16 - Chapter 23

(view spoiler)[This book is fine, but for me, there aren't enough scenes showing what's going on.

In these chapters Oraya and Raihn were supposedly training to work better as a team in preparation of one of the trials. However, it's never shown. It talks about how they get better everyday because they stop accidently hitting each other and stepping on each other's feet, but you don't actually see it.

Also, Oraya trains with Mische to be able to use her magic, but there was one scene shown where Oraya is frustrated and Mische says that she needs to relax, and that's it. You don't see any other training sessions.

Oraya sometimes goes to meet Vincent but that's just mentioned and not shown either.
