153782 I read Mists of Avalon back in college---and I enjoyed it, mainly because I am fascinated by King Arthur, Morgane le Fey and Merlin...if the King Arthur Legend interests you, it is an easy read (from what I remember). I was thinking of rereading again for this "requirement".

I think it is up to you to decide--- you pick what you think works. I think it does, but that is just my opinion.

153782 That would be great!--- I have no idea what is considered "Steampunk" when it comes to books...I was hopeful I had found one already on my bookshelf.
