15336 I would like to know if I could lead a discussion on Jonathan Carroll's finest novel, 'The Land of Laughs'. It is a beautifully written horror novel next to 'Bones of the Moon.'

15336 I also would like to recommend Dundes, Sacred Narrative which also deals with vagania dentas. If you are a man, you ought to read it with your legs crossed.

15336 Thanks for the info!

15336 It seemed he used the immitative form in writing this short story. I checked out the dictionary and it said that monomania is obsession over a single idea. I am not sure if it is obsessive compulsive disorder.

The story is really unclear to me because Latin is also Greek to me and I would have to look up each word in the internet to contribute more to this thread.

15336 Nice, congratulation on your daughter's gifted writings.

15336 Yeah, you would have to be a hard core reader like the members of the fiction filers to read Borges.

15336 I noticed in the course of reading his body of work is that his works is mostly likely suited for an inquiry kind of a study. The reader had to investigate him as if he was O.J., go through what he read in the past, find out what his works alluded to, the themes, and motifs. It is like reading T.S. Eliot's The Wasteland, and some of the researches I had to go through on Borge's sources are long and hard to do despite the fact some of his stories are less than four pages. It takes me about four hours to appreciate each story he wrote.

15336 Yeah those were the days...Same bat time! Same bat channel! I used to hate the first part or the show because I usually know it is to be continued.

15336 Yeah, it was a great read. I wish I was a good naturalistic writer to come up with various words for rocks, trees, ashes, and all the stuff that made Cormac a brillant writer. But I was leery of him winning a Pulitzer Prize for it, but it was his year.

15336 (feeling the back of my head) Damn right!

15336 Hey! I recognized your eyeball from the old fiction file!

15336 I am not sure why Tolstory wrote that story because I checked out and skimmed his biography and he seemed to convert to to religion belief, but near the end of his life, he seemed exhuberant that one does not pass onto the next level or die with his or her memory/spirit intact. I guess I will have to read further more to find out later.

15336 Can I be the naked hairy fat guy being serviced by the prom queen in one of the pornos that you mentiond in your novel?

(Shoving down a whole extra cheese pizza pie down my throat and craming Doritos in my mouth) Out of my way cretins, I am a serious actor preparing for my challenging role!

15336 Well then the author should have followed Ben's example and call it Parable of the Three Hermits. If blame must be placed then all fingers shall be pointed toward Tolstoy :...dammit where that button that makes the icon at the end of the sentence sticks out his tongue?
May 13, 2009 09:37AM

15336 Yeah, I have a hard time reading that story with the hermits running over the water. Even if I grew up with religion, it is hard for me to accept magic in the Bible relating to faith. But I do admire the earnestness of the hermits.

15336 Remember Ray Bradbury's 'The Crowd.' The crowd decides, not you.

15336 Congratulation to all.

15336 Ha ha. Maybe you can write for hallmark greeting cards, Ben.
15336 Oh boy, I can not wait to read all nine books with the exact same title.
