Your first paragraph was exactly how I felt with this category. I had no clue the book I read was going to make me cry until I did cry.
I'll look this book up!

The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom made me cry. In fact, I felt emotional all the way through it.
It is about a white indentured 7 year old brought to work and live with black slaves. I'd recommend it to any and all!

I used this for my non fiction book but I'm really looking forward to the movie.
I never thought I'd be so captivated by a book about ships, whales, and eating your shipmates. Great book.

The movie was pretty much spot on to the book. Ahh, the ending makes me crazy. Loved both the book and movie!

The Time Machine by H.G Wells is my 100 year old book.
It is short. A little over a 100 pages but it is full of details that you have to take your time with it. This took me longer than any other book I've read this year so far!

In The Heart Of The Sea:The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick is my nonfiction book!
Whale attack and cannibalism, what more do you need to know?! Who knew this was going to be this great. I loved it.

Hi there! I'm Meg. I live in Louisville, KY. I've always loved reading. I think my mom had something to do with that :) I don't stick to any one genre. I read what I like and I read very fast. For this challenge I'm just going to read and see where they fit in afterwards and finish anything left at the end of the year!

I really did love this book right up until the ending

I read after the fact that the app is lame. This is for 500 page book. Sorry.

By Anthony Doerr is what I just finished for this category.
