153021 I’ve been wanting to read The Collected Stories of Stefan Zweig for several years. I sold a stack of books at the used book store and, with some of my credit, bought a new copy of the book. I’m going to start with Amok since others have mentioned it.

153021 I’d like to reread From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

153021 I would like to participate but don’t have time to read all of his books! I did put Rendezvous with Rama on hold (ebook) and should have it in a few weeks. Our library doesn’t have a great SF print book collection despite the fact we have a SF book club. Usually, I find the older books on Libby, Hoopla, SimplyE, or the Serial App. I have some old box sets but the pages are all yellowed, which is not so appealing to me. I’m looking forward to Rendezvous! I’m currently reading The History of Science Fiction: A Graphic Novel Adventure by Xavier Dollo and finding lots of authors and books I’m not familiar with plus learning about more well-known authors like Clarke, Asimov, John W, Campbell, etc. It’s really interesting and a perfect topic for a graphic novel.

153021 I was born in Connecticut and have spent almost 40 years in the southwest. I’ve been in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 32 years. It’s nice to see what a global community we have in this group!

153021 Becky Sharp in Vanity Fair is definitely a memorable protagonist!

153021 Happy New Year my friends! Here’s to another great year of reading! 🎉🎉🎉
I have 6 books started and have no idea which one I will finish first. I do know it won’t be Don Quixote! 😂 I spent my morning going through my books and decided on 22 to liberate. I also reorganized my book shelves so that books I plan to read for Buddy reads and challenges are located together. I feel like I’m ready for 2023 now!
153021 John & Cosmic - I agree that The Rhetoric of Mao Zedong looks interesting. I found the ebook on Hoopla. (I don’t know if Hoopla is available in countries outside the US but that’s my to-go place for books that aren’t readily available in print.) I put it on my 2023 TBR shelf but, if I get to it, it will be much later in the year.
153021 I have Ward #6 and Other Stories. I’ve only read the title story. I’m guessing some of the stories are the same as the 52 stories book. My favorite Chekhov story is Kashtanka.

153021 I bought used copies of 2 Aldous Huxley books- Antic Hay and After the Fireworks.

153021 We had a mild Christmas Eve day. Sunny, high of 50, and no wind. I took my grandson outside so he could ride his new scooter. It felt good to get in a walk but I’m thinking I should get a scooter for myself, to keep up with him!

Awesome! Thanks. I added those names to the Caribbean list. I'm going to put in an Inter Library Loan request to find Masters of the Dew. Hopefully, I can find a copy!
