153021 It needs Guillermo del Toro. He's talked about doing At the Mountains of Madness before but that only has Elder Things and Shoggoths. Dream Quest has all kinds of cool creatures for him to bring to life.

153021 This is the famous Alan Moore book I haven't read yet. I'm excited to read it. I'm already getting 1984 vibes.

153021 I read this a long time ago. It's only 165 pages so I might reread it in a while.

153021 I'm reading The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath and it would make a really epic Lord of the Rings like movie.

153021 Dumb comic book things: Superhero in high heels, Rorschach just walks into bars and breaks fingers never gets shot

Hooded Justice is the most mysterious character here. Did anybody know who he really was? He was gay and somebody mentioned the name of a boyfriend but I can't find the quote now. Was he somebody in the book or was it just a random name? (edit: It's Captain Metropolis)
Also the first time I missed that the Comedian might have killed him.

Looking at the movie again, it was spot on in a lot of things. Understandably they upped the action a lot.
Can't decide which ending I like better.
I did hate Nite Owl's costume. He just looks like an old fashioned batman. In the book he actually looks like an owl. But I like Silk Specter's better. Looks more like a superhero costume than just a dress. The rest were pretty accurate except Ozymandias had less color.

153021 Lovecraft was obviously racist but I wonder what his big problem with Eskimos was? lol

153021 Rorschach was my favorite character but rereading the Comedian is pretty cool too.

153021 I've read The Call of Cthulhu several times. It's a lot like a remake of Dagon.
Did you know vigantillion is a real number?

I'll get this when Christmas comes around: Christmas Ghost Stories

153021 The Unnamable sums up a lot of what Lovecraft does. The idea that there are things so alien the human mind can't cope with them. It's difficult to translate that to words and almost impossible to the screen. When I read them the stuff sounds alien but not terrifying. I guess I'm just jaded from imagining the impossible too much.

153021 I've read the first two chapters. Reading it again knowing what to expect it's even better.

Sorry but the story of Moe Vernon is hysterical!

Rafael wrote: "These ones were not written by Alan Moore. he refused to write them so the magazine hired other people to write them."
Yeah, Alan Moore hates DC with a passion. They screwed him out of the profits and now he'll have nothing to do with it, even for money.

Is Astro Boy good?
153021 I thought some Smurfs would be cool. I loved the cartoon when I was a kid and I'd like to check out the comics.
The Smurfs Anthology #1 is pretty darn expensive but it can be read on kindle and comixology(which I have no experience with but I guess I can figure it out).

Also, we need some manga.

153021 The Festival has always been a favorite of mine. I really like spooky Christmas stories for some reason. :)
153021 That's kind of funny since Holmes is so completely against a supernatural explanation in the book.

153021 Sweet Ermengarde is some genius comedy.

153021 I just have a problem with it because it doesn't seem to take place in the dream world like The White Ship.
