For a literary fiction read:

For a YA read:

For a middle grade read:

For a poetry read:

For a fantasy read:

Do you mind if I ask about your use of The Alchemist for prompt #18? I can't remember a made up language. I found a few of your choices interesting BTW!
Regards, Barb #569"
Apologies for the delay, I went with "language of the heart" to me that's a made up language!

Yay, more excuses to read through the Temeraire series! His Majesty's Dragon

This week I read:
Oona Out of Order - Book published in 2020
Girl lives life out of order and has to come to grips with this fact. Was not a fan of this book despite the hype. I found there to be too much focus on age and beauty without much thought/analysis on these themes.
Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion - Involving Social Media
Thoughtful essays on the self and feminism. Some really interesting and well written thoughts, good to think about during this time of increased focus on "productivity."
Wilder Girls - Medical Thriller
YA type book about girls quarantined on an island after getting infected with the "tox." Entertaining but ultimately forgettable for me.
Summer of '69 - author with more than 20 books
A beach read about a family living through major and minor events in the summer of 69. I enjoyed these characters and thought they were written interestingly with flaws.
Currently Reading:
The Girl in the Tower (using for other challenge)
The Dearly Beloved (main character in 20s)'

I've been cutting down on my facebook use as discussing the virus right now is either too stressful or aggravating.
