Honestly guys (and gals), I highly doubt that the book will come out this year. If the release date was scheduled for this year, there certainly would have been something released. Bookstores are for sure going to have it availabel for pre-order long before the actual release date.

My guess for the release date is late Spring/Summer 2011 because the same basic premise for why the release date probably won't be 2010 will probably apply to early 2011.

If you look at it logically, Arya is most likely to be the next dragon rider. Based off of the need to restore the dragon race, the new dragon will be male b/c Glaedr refused Saphira and it's highly unlikely that anything will happen with Thorn or Shuriken.

Also, we know that dragons and their rider's are affected by each other's emotions, so for the next dragon to be male, the rider should be female.

We've been told that the dragon will be green and Arya's magic is currently green. Coincidence? I think not.
