I agree! The first book was really slow. I actually really liked the cross outs, I thought they gave Juliette a bit more character. Though, I have a suspicion that Adam is too good to be true...

which order do the novellas go in?

I really liked the ending of this book! The whole revolution or Movement seems really interesting and I'm excited to see it fleshed out in the later books.
Did anyone else have a hard time picturing the suit that Juliette wore at the end. I'm picturing like a skin tight spacesuit or something and I have no idea how that's hot. Or is it more like a ninja suit?

Some thoughts.
1. Kenji is an idiot but I like him. He's tht best friend that makes the stupid perverted jokes.
2. Juliette shot Warner. She's smart. I like her as a protagonist.
3. Adam isn't evil yet... And I hope it stays that way.

I have this suspicion tht Adam isn't who he says he is , but I really like him so I hope he really means what he says.
The whole ordeal with Warner being able to touch her, what do you guys think it means? Maybe it's people who aren't afraid of her? Or something like that.

I'm really liking the book so far. This whole Reestablishment business is really cool and I can't wait until they go more in depth into it. Right now I really love Adam and not so much warner, but I feel like that's gonna change because so many people love Warner. Juliette's power is really cool and it's weird that Adam can touch her. I think it might have to do with the fact that she's not scared of him or she doesn't have any ill feelings towards him

Chapters are basically used to break up a book. I think it's just Tahereh's style to break the book up into very short chapters since it coincides with her use of very short sentences.

I finally finished this much! I'm getting through this book very slowly because I'm reading the Mortal Instruments at the same time. But I did it!
I have to say, I really like the writing style. The whole scribbling out really gives a lot more character to Juliette.
We're finally introduced to Warner and Adam! I've heard the names of both of these guys everywhere but now I can finally put a name to a character.
I love how we're already into the plot. Tahereh Mafi does a fantastic job of intertwining the action of the plot with the world building without making it seem like an information dump.
Really excited to keep going!

Me neither and it's my biggest problem! I want all of them in hardcover with matching covers but I can't. It's so frustrating
