Hi I just read your post and actually this is the first time I am replying or writing on Goodreads. I too am a new writer, well I'm old but new at writing...I'm sure you get what I'm saying. I want so much to write with other writers and have a group here, I really hope I find one.

Okay to the point you're asking, about your pen name. I use my pen name for my story's. There's a couple of reasons, but the biggest reason is my up and coming novel. It's about my ex husband who physically & mentally abused me. Maybe it's a dumb reason, but I don't want him nor his family to read anything about me, about what they did or didn't do during our marriage. A lot of other things I could say but that is one of the reasons.

The other reason is I want to write certain books with my pen name and other ones with my real name. Off the top of my head I don't know the authors names, but a couple of them do the same thing. I also like the name I picked..it sounds cool.

Hope I didn't bore you with this...I have a tendency to write a lot. Do what your heart is telling you to do, since you're the author, nobody else. Have a great rest of the evening...
