139812 Silver's insides were churning, all these emotions and memories spinning around inside and causing all sorts of mental chaos. The more they spoke, the more alike she and Ian seemed to be. Their pasts' hid a long list of regrets and painful experiences that were haunting them on a daily basis. And their was only one escape from them, and that could only happen once they accept the past, and use it to drive their future. Nodding slowly, her eyes suggested that her insides were smiling now. "Hell yes." Not only was she going to do that with her father, but also with the jagged memories of her kidnapping. Giving his hand a small, genuine squeeze, while opening the training room door a new person.

139812 Silver's hand stopped on the door handle, realizing that their deep little conversation was not over yet. Yes, she was fairly uncomfortable with the situation as a whole, and all she wished was to push open that door and let it be over with. But, something rooted deep inside her prevented her from doing so. "Maybe you shouldn't forget." Her words were soft, eyes cast towards their feet. Her hand was beginning to grip the handle tighter, almost as if it were an anchor that was preventing her from drifting too far into her past. "Instead, use the experience to drive you in the arena. Don't let it define you, but use it's power to push you towards something greater." Her eyes found his, and she saw the look that was cast in her direction. How was she supposed to help him, when she couldn't even help herself? A memory tickled at the back of her mind, one that reminded her of the simpler days. It was her mother, sliding her hand into Silver's younger self, a kind and caribg gesture that had once spread warmth through her. But she couldn't possibly do that to Ian now, right? Her hand left the handle without her knowing, but stopped before it traveled into his. This is when Silver's eyes fell, saying a silent 'Sorry, I can't help you' without having to speak.

139812 Silver bit her lip, wondering what wheels were turning in Ian's head. She couldn't read into his attitude with the small glances she was getting. If she wanted more information, she would have to dig deeper. But then again, this subject was a touchy matter. The only way to get him to open up was to make him feel comfortable in the conversation. "I doubt your over it." Her words were soft, not so much proving him wrong but hoping he would take it as an opening gesture. "When losing those you held so close, it feels like you are loosing a part of yourself along with them." Her voice head steady, though she could feel the pull of a quiver attempting to sneak in. "You can't just forget." The pair had approached the doors to the training room, but she paused, unsure what direction their words were going.

139812 ((Ill have time tomorrow to read a few more chapters:) Ill let you know then!!))

The words Silver was about to use got dried up in her throat before she had a chance to spit them out. Ian had just told her a very personal thing, and it seemed odd as it was in a very nonchalant tone. She had been taken by surprise, and this was very odd because she wasn't normally one to be taken aback by a confession such as that. It was just another girl, one who she didn't even know. She shouldn't be feeling sorry for her, but something in the pit of her stomach was growing. It was a familar concept to her: Having someone you live ripped away without even a chance to say goodbye. "I'm so sorry." Silver's voice wasn't filled with pity, but allmost a mutual understanding of a - 'Dude, I've been there before' - kind of deal. Her eyes drifted up to his as they walked side by side. In the brief glance that she was able to get, she saw something special in them. She squinted, trying to read his face, his true face behind the laid-back one she saw. "You loved her, didn't you?" Her words were careful, treading lightly across a subject that could turn their tightly-bonded alliance sour.

139812 A small frown carved her face as she glanced up at him, wondering what wheels were turning in that pretty little head of his. The way he carried himself she knew too well. Son of a rich and famous family, trying to keep the family business going for as long as he shall live. If Silver's fate hadn't been stolen from her when she was taken, she probably would have ended up in his same shoes in her household. Living the exact definition of a life wih 'high standards.' "Believe me, I don't run in circles. There's only a forward path for me." She spun his meaning, remembering back to their little word game back in the training center. "And I though you said there was no one? Did you somehow forget about this "special" someone?" Her words were mocking, even a touch of sarcasm. Her shell was slowly cracking as she grew more comfortable with him.

((Sorry for the short reply, last post of the night!!:( Ill be on tomorrow!!
Also, I found your Fanfic on your Status Update and read the first chapter... Holy crap Missy!! You are an incredible writer:) It sounded so fluid... I'm Jealous!! XD Great job!))

139812 Silver wanted to outright scowl at his little smirk that never seemed to leave his cheeks. He was pushing her buttons one at a time, seeming to try to find her sensitive spots. It said alot about him actually, showing bits of his curiosity and true nature behind his facade of confidence. Well, if he was so hell bent on trying to unravel her, then maybe she should just give in and ask a little about him in return. "Uhg, you think there is no one in One? Try Two." She hadn't realized it, but she had come off from leaning on the wall, her words beging to intensify. Sloching back, she continued in a mumble. "All the boys there are pigs." It was true and clear as day. The vast majority of District two boys were soldiers: Buff and scrapy guys that only cared about getting into a girls pants. That was one breed of pig, but the other was far worse. For the briefest moment, she squeezed her eyes shut as images of her kidnappers dropped on in to torment her. The were a whole 'nother type of hog that she couldn't bare to think about. "Are all the girls ugly or something?... Don't meet your 'standards'?" The elevator doors slid apart, revealing the hallway to the training center once again.

139812 (( Haha, I love how he deals with Silver :P ))

Silver was leaning into a corner of the elevator, pretending to be examining all the shiny buttons when Ian spoke up from the far side. Her arms were casually crossed and she seemed to be relaxed, but she was anytging but comfortable in this situation. Her eyebrows raised at first, but slowly lowered into a frown as the question went on. After another eyeroll, she shor him a look that clearly said: 'Are you nuts? Do I look like the kind of girl that would have a guy waiting for me?' Just to one hundred percent clearly get the message across, she spoke up. "No, definetly not." Another awkward pause as she shifted her weight to the other side. "Do you? I mean, you seen like he kind of guy that would, being that your so social and... Friendly." It was far from the truth though, for Ian hadn't necessarily been friendly when they first met. But now, things were different, and he was actually acting like a very good ally. Considering her question herself, she wondered if Isadora's name had happened to pop up in Ian's head while he searched for an answer.

139812 Silver's gaze slowly rose, working its way from the tips of Ian's shoes to his toned abs through his shirt, to his burley chest, and finally landing on his face. Oh what a face he had. Their eyes were almost on the same level, for Silver was tall and never slouching. But, with her back pressed against the closed elevator doors and him leaning in like so, she felt as small as ever. He was so very close, and she could feel his breath hit her face, break on her lips and travel equally across each cheek as he spoke.

Staying as still as possible, Silver tried to forget the closeness and focused on his words. When he finished, she only rolled her eyes in response. There. She thought sarcastically. If his intentions were to make her smile, then an eyeroll was all he was going to get. Her eyes never left his though, and following silence was enough to drive her insane. Thats it, the claustrophobia overwelmed her and her fingers slid out, pressing the button that somehow hadn't initially been pressed. With a quick 'ding', the doors slid open and Silver slinked inside.

And then ensued the awkward elevator silence. She was not about to start the conversation. Not after the embaressment she had just been through.

139812 Silver took a long, hard stare at Ian before walking ahead. Her eyes were still red and very full of emotion, but she managed to give him a suspicious look. Ian, who had seemed to want to kill her back in the training center, had been so kind to her ever since. He was the first person to see her cry in years, and probably heard the most words she had ever used in one conversation. What was his motive? Why had this career suddenly turned into her long lost friend? Yes, he was obviously trying her make her feel better by trying to get her back to her old self, but it was strange...

Moving towards the elevator, Silver pondered this thought, along with feeling relief of finally being let go. She hadn't necessarily told him about her touch issues, so she hoped he hadn't caught on yet. If she concentrated, she could still feel each of his fingers on her bare skin. Even just the thought of it made her cringe. As the pair reached the double doors, Silver stopped, making him almost run into her back. Ever so slowly, she turned, looking into his eyes with slight confusion. "Why?" She asked, leaning against the doors behind her to escape his closeness. "Why would you comfort me?" Her gaze fell, embaressment rising in her cheeks. "Its not like I was nice to you or anything..."

139812 Silver's hand came up, wiping away her last tear with the back of her hand and looking up at Ian with new eyes. Yes, it had taken a while for her to get her head on straight after the shocking admittance. But now, finally it was screwed back on and time for them to get down to business. The fog had cleared, and she now understoon that the best time to seek revenge was in the arena, in a fully legal way. Her head nodded quickly at each and every word, agreeing with his plan fully. It was strange how she was comforted by this boy, someone who she had despised not an hour earlier. Who would have though she would ever take comfort in another person's presence?

He finished his words and Silver shook herself out of his grip. Yes, she was greatful for the boy being with her, but not so much the touch. As soon as she pulled away, the goosebumps that had been speckled all over her skin disappeared without a trace. "Okay... Yeah, sounds good." She took an elaborate deep breath, a shaking sound could be heard as she exhaled, a side effect of this foreign thing called 'crying.' "But promise me one thing." A dramatic pause, then continuing in a softer voice. "If she"- referring to Tara- "is in there, don't leave my side."

139812 Silver was taken completely aback by the reaction she was getting from Ian. This boy, who had not an hour ago been annoyed by her and jumping hesitantly on board with their shaky alliance, was now hugging her and promising to help her kill someone? It was all very strange, yet somehow, it felt right. Never in her life - at least in the life that she remembered - had she been comforted or cared for as much as Ian was now. Her recent life had been filled with pain, and suffering, no sense of comfort what so ever. It was somehow refreshing to be cared for for once.

Instead of pulling away from the hug, she let herself sit in Ian's arms. Her body was still ridged, and no sort of relaxation could be seen. But, it was somewhat nice to be touched in a way that was not while beaing beaten or burned. She let her eyes close just for a moment, feeling the moment wig all her senses. Her head nodded at his words, reveling in the image of Tara dangling by her toes and pleading for her life. "While I was gone," she began, not realizing she was referencing to her kidnapping, "I had no idea where he was... All this time, I just though he had abandoned me." It was a small relief to know that she wasnmt actually abandoned, but that in no way lessened her anger towards Tara.

Silver pulled back, her face attempting to return to nomal as she wiped awsy tears and placed it in a rock solid casing. Gone was the whimpering girl, the one that was letting her emotions control her life. And back was the clear minded, level headed killer. "What do we do? I mean, now that Imm going to murder her if I see her down there again."

139812 ((You all are crazy:P I actually am worse on the computer! I can only post from my phone!))

Silver couldn't believe that she had let herself stoop to the level she was at now. She was ashamed at how easily it had been for her emotions to take her on a wild ride, one that was thrashing her about so quickly that she could hardly see straight. The trainers at her center back in two had beaten all deep emotions out of her long ago. She still remembered one specific day, one that was a milestone for her growth at the career 'bakery.' Like a horse being broken on that cruel day, she thought she had wept the last tears she ever would through all the maddening pain she had endured. But here she was now, acting no better then Isadora had when she had been snapped at.

Now she had Ian, a sturdy career and a worthy opponent standing in front of her. Unlike before, where twisting mind games and tiptoeing around real questions had been the form of communication, Silver understood that she had to give him a straight answer... No matter how painful it was to say, she had to strengthen the very loose alliance they held. Silver was obviously aware of the sight of him moving towards her, but the face of that matter was that she truely didn't care. What was he going to do, beat her up too? No, as much as Ian wore the tile of 'Career 101', he didn't seem to be dripping evil like Tara or even Delilah.

But as he layed a hand on her shoulder, she was shocked out of her trance. Her back stiffened on instinct, her eyes finding the floor before squeezing shut. But, she didn't pull away; There was no need to show more weakness then she already had. Her body turned as he pivoted her to face him, and every so slowly did her eyes drift up, almost as if her head was weighed down by a violent forced. When they settled on him, Silver unhinged her jaw, and spoke in a raspy tone. "Ian... Tara killed my Father. He's dead because of her."

((Fyi, Ian's 'Ill beat her face in' was absolutely incredible:) Haha, Silver will make some snappy remark about that aftef she gets her bearings a bit!!))

Poor Silver had never felt so confused in her life. Over the years, she had slowly come to terms with the fate of her family; And She had even somewhat accepted her kidnapping as well. But now it all came rushing back to her like a cascade, water pouring over the edges of a dam she had worked so hard to built up. In her mind, it had been a perfect little scenario; Her father had died bravely trying to save her life, not at the hand of some psychotic killer that probably did it when he wasn't being heroic. Had she seriously said that killing him was fun?

Silver's head was in her hands, gripping her hair tightly as tears slowly begn to make their way out. Much like the dam, the wall of emotional stone that she had built up during training had been knocked down as well. No longer was she this rough and tough girl who couldn't be rocked by nobody; Now, she was no better then a blubbering baby. Her body shook and tears streamed down her cheeks, but she didn't dare let herself make noises as she cried.

Suddenly, someone was in the room, and Silver was very much aware of it. She shot to her feet, face a mixture of anger and relaxation as she tried her best to compose herself in that brief moment. Despite her efforts, she appeared to be a broken toy that wasn't ever going to be fixed. "What do you want." She replied in a shaky growl, her voice quivering from the tears. ...The tears. Shoot. Her head quickly turned as she wiped them away with her sleeve, feeling utterly embarrassed that someone else had seen her in such a state. She was supposed to be this pillar of strength, not the girl that was standing in that room. Her fists clenched and unclenched, emotions riding across her face in uncontrolable waves. Tara had broken her, and she was dead set on returning the favor.

139812 The second that Silver was drug out of the training center, she composed herself. One of the motto's she lived by was 'out of sight, out of mind', and now that Tara was no where to be seen, it was much easier to try and forget about it. Of course, the moment she was alone she would break down once again. But for now, here in public with these judgemental peacekeepers at witnesses, she would not loose herself.

The elevator ride to the 9th floor was very awkward indeed. Silver stood in the middle of the two stiff-as-a-board guards that each kept a hand on Her. The only noises to be heard was the sound of Silver trying to control her labored breathing and the fait sound of elevator music. Considering everything that had just happened, it was quite the strange sight. Finally, the elevator opened, and she was practically shoved out of the elevator and into her room, the door shutting behind her before she could even say a word.

As soon as the men left, Silver let out an pained scream, taking a vase and throwing it across the room in a fury. She then shakily sat down in disbelief on the edge of a chair, fighting a break down as memories danced across her eyes and unaware of Ian traveling up to her in that moment.

139812 Silver's rage had binded her, taken away her ability to think and act clearly in a fight. She went skidding past Tara, blood rushing to her cheeks in more anger and even embarrassment. But Silver's reaction rate had not been diminished, and Tara's nagging was the perfect catalyst to aid in her attack. She spun quickly, taking one last lunge at the witch as her nails clawed and tried to dig into skin and eyes. But once again she was yanked back, with such force this time that she was pulled off her feet, spun around and shoved in the opposite direction. Though they struggled to keep her forward, she kept looking over her shoulder, not wanting to let Tara get away so easily. She dug her heels into the ground at the sound of her final words, trying to break out of their iron grip one last time. When she was composed enough to realize that this was not going to happen, she called out her response over her shoulder. "Your dead to me, Tara!" The words were spar with such force and emotion, that it shook you to the core. "Your dead to me and everyone else!"

And with that, the doors to the training room closed with a loud bang, leaving everyone left standing in shock and awe.

139812 Silver's gaze held, steady and strong through every word of Taras. As soon as the words started, she had gone still and silent, drinking in every word as if it were the last drops of water on the entire earth. In a way, it was the last she would ever hear of her father; The words held the final closure that Silver so despretly needed. All these years, the question had lingered in her mind: 'What happened to Daddy?' Now, she was finally learning of her father's last moments and shutting a door to the past.

But rather then shutting the door, Deliah had lit it on fire. It was a small flame, one enough for Silver to take notice. While trying to put it out, she had been introduced to Tara. The word 'Fun' was uttered by the killer, and Silver's breath caught in her throat. Tara had effectively taken a flame thrower to the door, and the flame was still growing as the harsh kindling was added. And with Tara's final question, the door shattered into a million piece, exploding ever which was and releasing a beast into the world.

Screaming, Silver ripped free of the peacekeepers, charging towards Tara with a rage that couldn't be matched. It was a terrifying sight, a mad woman ready to strangle another crazy woman to death. It could make someones heart stop, and thats exactly what Silver was planning on doing to Tara.

((I'll leave this one in your hands Chloe!:) She's going at Tara right now, so you can have her do whatever you want!))

Silver gave a few more useless kicks, knowing it was pointless to fight back when her emotions were skyrocketing like so. One could practically see the steam shooting out of her ears, like a cartoon with firey eyes that was about to explode. "You know exactly what you did." She said in a metter-of-factly tone between labored breaths. "You killed my father. You murdered without the decency to even say 'I'm sorry'!" The peacekeepers had started to drag her away, but now were wrestling to keep her still. "Delilah told me so." Her head spun in both directions, seeing all the eyes on her and feeling quite exposed. Then, she turned back to Tara, and gave a small smile at the fear seen in her eyes. So, the perfect little serial killer wasn't as deadly as she came off. "How could you do such a thing?... You knew that he had a family!" The blood above her lip had dripped into her mouth, staining her teeth red in a disgusting yet extremely intimidating way.
