Hi! Sharon from The Misfit Readers has not been active since June 11th. Can we carry on without her?

We have to wait for Sharon on the food and attraction as only their books are left. I’ll fix the ticket thing

I have 3 books that starts with the letter H, but luckily one of them also fits K. Popular letter 😂

Me too. I am currently halfway through chapter 8, and so far I like it. I have to admit I have never read Alice in Wonderland and the last time I watched one of the films was 10 years ago...

I had not realized before starting to read what this book was about (silly me not reading the blurb at the back of the book), so I was a bit confused for the first chapters. But now that I am in the Wonderland mindset, I really like it. My inner child loves these types of crazy, unhinged universes. I also love (view spoiler)[the dialogue between Cath and the Joker in chapter 7. His answers are so smooth! (hide spoiler)]

Excited to see where this goes! Poor Cath, I hope she doesn't end up having (view spoiler)[to marry the King, although I feel like that is how it's going to end. (hide spoiler)]

**Note to self** Do not read this book when you are hungry, your stomach will be mad at you.

Nikolai is still my favorite character too. (view spoiler)[I was completely mortified when he turned into a monster. When he flew away and blended with the others in the sky I thought they would never get him back. I love how he was recognizable and still had a bit of control over his actions.

I wish he and Alina would have had a bit more scenes together both in the second and third book. If Leigh Bardugo had written them with a bit more chemistry I think they would have made an awesome couple. They do make great friends though, so I'm not too mad.

I guess I just don't like Mal at all. At this point I think Alina would have been better off alone. And to have her go back to Keramzin? I understand that Mal wanted to go back because he had a good childhood there, but Alina did not. To have her both lose her powers AND go back to a place where she didn't thrive, was not an end to the series that I liked. (hide spoiler)]

I agree with you on Alina. I found her growing on me throughout the series, and think it was interesting to see her struggle with her greed for power. I am a little bit disappointed that (view spoiler)[she lost all her powers, as I felt like she spent a lot of time, especially in the first book, to accept and get used to them. At the same time, it wouldn't have been a good ending if she were to have all her powers intact and be immortal. (hide spoiler)]

Mal did grow on me a bit, but I still don't like him that much.
