I'm on A Storm of Swords but am taking a break to read a friend's novel.

hah hah Paul, I thought you said Dennis is not at all welcome! Thank goodness for that full stop!

I love Sansa's progress, especially on the second read when her naivety and princessy-arrogance are much less annoying when you know more of her future.

Paul, that is exactly the same reason I started a re-read. I'd been reading so many lacklustre books, I had to read something I knew was good.

I'm really enjoying them at the moment.

I'm on Clash of Kings...oops! (got carried away).

I'm going to read another book (new Sarah Pilborough yay!) in the meantime, I will keep an eye on this thread, but I don't want to come bursting in and spoiling people without meaning to.

Especially Littlefinger ha ha!

I think Harry Lloyd brought a lot more understandable sadness to Viserys' madness, he was soooo good, completely volatile.

How's everyone getting on? I'm finding the re-read incredibly stressful, I just want to reach through the book and scream "Don't do that! Don't do it!"

I forgot to say, I've read all the books, and have watched Seasons 1-3 of the show. But I have a terrible memory so don't remember much of the books - I'm easily confused by names, Houses and loyalties!

Catelyn is really awful to him, and it's horrible because she's so nice to Ned, yet she takes all her anger out on Jon.

But Jon does have brothers and sisters who love him, especially Rob and Arya.

I'm Nicci and will read anything that's good. My fav book is Catch 22, my favourite horror writer is Adam Nevill, and I also love Batman and Hellblazer.

I work for a publisher/bookstore which specialises in Science Fiction and graphic novels.

I do see the actors now, but to be honest, I think the casting was so spot on in the first place, especially Sean Bean.

The amazing thing about re-reading is being able to watch the dominos fall. On the first read, you don't even know they're dominos at all!
