I have given rave ratings to so so books, if it made me happy at the time. I have given harsher ratings to books that are better reads, if it wasn't what I was in the mood for.
I really try not to compare. My 5 star list would make no sense otherwise.
Mainly, I give 5 stars to books that are wonderful in some way; memorable, beautiful writing, compelling characters, or happy mood inducing.

Yes, very nice, but the car that Alice drives in Luther, the Jensen Interceptor, is the one that makes me swoon.

Make them laugh by showing an epic fail in a software program, and talk about how your field relates to the video game industry, even if it doesn't really.

And, use a kitty cat Zoom filter for part of it. Accidentally, of course.

There is some new show with Firefly in the title just out on one of the streaming platforms. I got all excited until I realized it is not, you know, Firefly. I wish they hadn't used that word in the title.

I just started watching that one. I will start to take some notes and work on it. Unless someone else already started.

Do you guys have as hard a time as I do finding cookie tins? I like the one you decorated.

I am a big fan of the pretty and sometimes shiny exuberant Christmas paper. I have rolls of the stuff.
I do like the brown paper look as well, but I am usually too done from making gifts to make the paper pretty as well. Also, I can't let curling ribbon into my house anymore as Aech, my orange fluff ball eats it. I do not need gold ribbon mixing with kitty intestines.

I do not know what washi tape is. Off to look that up.

Not new to the Pendergast world, just new to the leading a series of books new. I like them as a team.
