Seemed to me more like a love story rather than some deep insight into spirituality. I didn't mind the slow reveal of Eddie's life - it was diverting but the spiritual element felt undeveloped. A bit rushed at the end too. I felt the author did not know how to end the book.
Reminded me a little of Paul Coelho as it had a patronising preachy feel but not quite that bad - I mean who is? I think The Alchemist is one of the worst books I have ever read.
Anyway I don't need to be told the meaning of life. I know the answer is 42.

I've already started 'The five people you meet in heaven;....I couldn't wait it looked so good!

Exactly what I was going say! Otherwise the choice is narrow.
