1. I don't really have a concise opinion about prologues, I guess it really depends on the book. I generally like them if they're short, and sort of poetic(?). But I just can't stand them sometimes, specially when they're like 10 pages long and super dense, and generally don't have anything to do with the main story or current plot (those I tend to skip or read reaaaally fast)
3. None of the above...Maybe I'm a hopelessly optimistic person, but I firmly believe in option C. Like Athena (or Rick Riordan?) once said in a Percy Jackson book: "There is always a way out for those clever enough to find it". (And I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that's the case for WW)
