okay rad~

bc people tend to favor the light-skinned actors and models, which tends to show up with more biracial celebrities
prime examples being Reece King and Dudley O'Shaughnessy

I plan on using Sira Kante or someone else ( I'm leaning towards Sira though )
and I can find some suggestions, if need be

also totes forgot to give the outline of what I want on the group description I'll try and do that today as well"
s'all good! take your time~

deja BAKERSOME WOULD SAY THAT DEJA should really make her presence known. She's quiet, so quiet most people don't even realize she's there. But this isn't her default setting. She's a happy middle between extremely quiet and extremely loud, just like the average person. Shhe just doesn't show it as often. So, she ends up having this effect where she can freak someone out without really trying. Of course, tends to make her laugh anyways, so where exactly does she come up short in all this?

Deja has a habit of looking out for others, or politely informing them of things they don't know. It's not that she's overly smart; she just likes to stay informed. She's usually the first person up to date on any trending story, but it doesn't really stick for that long. She has an intense need to fit in, to be in a place hhave someone notice her as being someone other than the girl that sneaks up on people. So much so that she tends to develop obsessive tendencies towards certain people. Think those special characters from animes, that obsess over oter characters in bizarre ways. She's somewhere along those lines, but not quite so bad.
More thhan anything else, though, Deja has wanted to travel. She's always wanted to fill up scrapbooks with her adventures and have stories to tell to her future children and grandchildren, or anyone who will listen. In preparation, shhe has begun the collection of maps. For popular places, for obscure places. For destinations that will difficult to get to, to places as easy as walking around the corner. Her wanderlust tends to lead her to strange places and she always finds her way back ome somehow. One could say this is part of the reason she'd been sent to live with her aunt in the first place.ETHNIC GROUPS TEND TO STICK together. Regardless of location, they always seem to find one another. There are definite perks to this, of course, and Deja was privy to this. Born in West Philadelphia, Deja had the full experience of being engulfed her own ethnic group as if she were living in the country her parents came from. Egypt, in a sense, came to her. And she loved it.![]()
She grew up with all the perks, though she found that she couldn't quite connect with her peers. She could really only find her way through social media, and even there things were tough. She was behind on all the slang and everything trending. It was like she'd been locked in a pocket decade without half the things kids her age knew. Sure, there were things she could relate to, could understand in some minimal way, but not truly. And it left her feeling like an outsider.
So she turned further to the internet. She spent her time on the computer gifted to her scrolling trough social media and collecting maps. Her parents weren't entirely concerned. They saw it as part of the teenage experience, and thus, left her be. At least not until she started wandering away from home. She'd be gone for hours on end, merely walking around the city. She'd hopped on a trolley and found her way home.
This alone was enough to worry them, but when it started happening again and again, they grew desperate. While she remained unharmed, the possibilities were endless. They didn't want to have to hear about her death or know nothing at all. It certainly took them quite a lot of thought. Her father's sister had been in the US longer, and seemed to have a firm grasp of the wayward foster children she housed. They assumed she could at least keep an eye on Deja.
Whichh was how she found herself on a plane to Seattle — her first plane ride, at that.[ relations × family: shahdia, muhammad; bahiti; friend: (open) ]
