Hi, Sunday :-) I agree completely! I was a book purist until I got the first Kindle Fire back in 2011. I loved the way you could read in bed without having a light on and I always chose the black background with the white lettering...much easier on the eyes. Later on I got the Paperwhite and the Voyage when they came out. It's even more pleasurable reading on these e-ink devices. Not only does it look like you're reading on paper, but it has the light which spreads over the top of the screen (rather than backlit phones and tablets) so you could read out in the sun if you wanted quite easily. When I read at bedtime I prefer my Voyage because it has an auto-light sensor and a nightlight feature. Once you turn out the lights and have a chance to adjust to the darkness, the Voyage gradually lowers its light too, Also, it's easier to get lost in reading with the e-ink devices because when I'm using the Kindle Fire I'm too easily distracted with emails or internet surfing.

I am very disappointed by this. I have successfully published over two hundred book reviews on Amazon and I never use p..."
I only had this happen one time, a few weeks ago. The book I posted a review on was about sex addiction and I only gave it 3 stars. I thought this was the reason, the low-end rating. However, someone mentioned on this discussion that it might have been some of the words I used in the review. Looking back, I did use the word masturbation, but it was in the context of what the book was about. I never got an email from Amazon telling me this was why I couldn't post the review. I thought perhaps there was a technical glitch and tried posting the review again, but it "knows" I posted one already somehow...but it's not listed and I guess never will be. It won't even let me revise a review. Instead of letting me review the book, it brings up other purchases I've made to review.

Aren't weekends the worst? Almost no new books arrive and probably no requests will be answered."
Yes, but the best part of my weekends is I get to read much more! I've been so good about just looking but not requesting from NetGalley these past several days, but caved in a short while ago. I just couldn't resist after reading someone's review about The Broken Girls.
