128890 This is one of my favorite books by Stephen King, probably because I enjoy painting/drawing so much. I always felt like this was one of his better transitions from reality into supernatural craziness, but would love to hear what others think. For me, Edgar is the perfect hero to cheer for because he is recovering from his amputation for the entirety of the book, so you constantly want to see him achieve, and at the same time he is genuine and thoughtful, even leaving money to his cheating wife when she divorced him. But the strongest part of the book in my opinion was the constant suspense that kept you turning the pages. Hope everyone enjoyed this book like I do! Next time your at the beach listen to the shells crashing in the coastline!

128890 Haha, well at least we are all seemingly in agreement so far with our first book. I never got very far with Catch-22. It did have its funny moments, but mainly I was annoyed with the dialogue between the characters and wanted more out of the story in general. I too am surprised this book is as well known as it is.
