I don't know if they are "tropes" per se (they might not be as popular and common to use as some others), but I like when the couple is in love but that doesn't mean that lovemaking with love interest (destined to not work) #2 isn't great. Or when there is clearly love and immense respect of many traits of one lover, but the relationship is rocky on the sexual front. Well that's my input of things I like to see and would like to see more often (compared with the usual 'love interest #2 is just not interesting at everything, period' and 'if you love someone, sex is great too'), for what's worth.
