Greetings all. Dark romance reader turned indie author here. I fell into the genre because it was the first place that didn’t shy away from the dark, twisted kinds of stories I love.

I recently released my debut, Ignite the Flame- a pitch-black captor/captive story that I could not be more proud of.

Excited to meet kindred spirits who understand that “too dark” isn’t a warning, it’s a promise.

If you’re open to a brand new self-rec, and pitch-black stories don’t scare you off, Ignite the Flame by Emersyn Hayes might be the one. Dark, twisted, and heavy on the trigger warnings. Every reader so far gives it five stars.

Also highly recommend Credence (a bit more taboo than dark but incredible) and Under Your Scars if you’re in the mood for significant emotional damage
