Yes! What you said about (view spoiler)[ the homeless population is what I was very poorly trying to articulate with saying it was a microcosm. I also think this book may help me be less judgmental about... Idk, people in general. This is what i love about reading! (hide spoiler)]

I've been reading I'm almost done and I have loved it. It is on par with the first book-

That probably is unfair to the homeless population in general or in real life. I guess for me it was a microcosm just for the book. I'm not trying to change your mind. We can't always love them all. I was rooting for the Texans too believe it or not. I'm cool with KC winning though. Stroud is a good qb. He needs a little bit better o-line. And they need a kicker!
