I just finished The Cotton Candy Massacre. I would rate it 4/5. It would make a great b-horror movie. I tend to read on lunch breaks but chapters 11+ I struggled. It gets very gorey. If you like blood, guts, and killer clowns this is a must!

I tried to read Classical Mythology.
2/5 its a very confusing read that I was unable to finish. they use roman, greek, and other area names for the same person in same paragraphs. I do not recommend. There are better Greek mythology books out there.

I just finished Deep Blue. The first few chapters I struggled to get into it but once it got good I couldn't put it down. I own the next two books and can't waot to read them.

A very basic overview is a mermaid princess had a "dream" about some witches that were trying to stop a creature from escaping. Her kingdom was attacked. She decides to follow the clues in her dream. Runs across 5 other mermaids get to location. Finds out more info then have to make a quick escape.

If anyone is interested in becoming a mod to start chats/threads/activities to get conversations going please post below.

I listened to this book while at work. It was an ok book and I will be reading others from the series in the future but not one I feel like rushing back into. Next book in this series is Lord of Pleasure

Set in North Carolina this story follows a group of women to solve a murder that ends up making a strog friendship in the end. The book was good and i will read the ones that follow but I'm not in a huge rish to get beck to it. Next book is called The Whispered Word

I guess I didn't tag when I reviewed this one. I believe it was slow paced and thats why i didn't go 5 stars. I loved the concept of an adventurer getting injured then being stranded in a small town and the unique friendships that form. I chose this book because it was giving me D&D vibes but it wasnt what I expected. I have the next book on my TBR list Legends & Lattes

I have always wanted to read a Steven King book but I have to say it wasnt as scary ad I expected. The book was good. I watched the movie remake (couldn't find the original on streaming) after and was highly disappointed. I would recommend the book over the movie.

I read Devil's Food Cake Murder

I love this series. This is book 14 of 29. It takes place in a small town in Minnesota(my home state) amd they are all murders that take place after being found with a dessert item made by the main character. The books also have a ton of recipes that soind amazing though I havent made any yet. I like the romance bit of the books also and can't wait to see who she will end up with. I have switch many time on who I think it will be.

This book was strange. It's slow paced and mysterious. Many people compare it to a Lovecraft book. It's worth reading but I dont think i would read it again.
