I like that it seems, from the title, to be a book about HIS kindness and goodness. I sure can't muster those things up in myself. “...when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.” Seeing our Savior will have a transformative effect.
I picked up A Body of Divinity and started it. Had to abandon it, though, because I needed to finish two other books (had deadlines for discussion). I found the audio free on Hoopla, if anyone wants to listen. Our school Book Club is done for the year, so I'll begin again.A Book Owned for More Than A Year And Not Yet Read:
The Hawk and the Dove (a novel by Penelope Wilcock).
I don't OWN it- I checked it out of the BBC library on the recommendation of someone dear to me. It's been sitting on my bedside table for a year (the Moor Library is very gracious about overdue books- and they know where to find me). I keep piling other books (mostly poetry) on top of it. ::insert guilty shrug::
What about the rest of you?
Got an email a few days ago about a 9Marks Book Club. Haven't taken time to look closely. Thought I'd drop it here, in case any are interested (and so that I can come back to look at it later and delete it from my inbox now).
