Have any of you read a book by Ellen Hopkins before? If not, what do you think of her writing style? One of the reasons we wanted to pick this up for the month of August was because it's different from the books we usually pick. If you have read Ellen Hopkins before how is this book different than her other books?

Hello everyone! This month we're entering a genre we've yet to tackle with booksplosion. FANTASY. Our July pick is... wait for it.. it's coming... I'm terrible at suspense... is this getting anticlimactic yet?... Probably... It's THE WARRIOR HEIR by Cinda Williams Chima! Be sure and pick up a copy and join us this month. We're really stoked to read this book along side you guys and we're hoping there will be lots to discuss with this book.

Well.. What are your thoughts on the ending? Do you think you'll carry on with the series?

I love the whole atmosphere of this book. The mysterious feeling and the dark tone of the book are keeping me intrigued! I'm interested to see where things go. Does anybody else not trust Gat? He's so strange to me.

I think her being annoying adds to the humor. That might just be me that thinks that way though! LOL.

Okay so basically all I have to say about the end of the book is that I did NOT see that plot twist coming and I CANT wait for book two. I'm so excited to see how hilariously awkward these three are going to be together! xD

I was really surprised to find that Professor X was Saylor! I didn't see that coming at all. I was also shocked to find that she really wasn't David's aunt. HELLO PLOT TWIST. xD Looking back on it though, I probably should have seen it coming. I'm starting to feel really bad for Harper. She basically has no choice but to be David's paladin.
