Bailey wrote: "Okay, I read this a while ago and don't want to give away spoilers for upcoming books. Can someone remind me where this one ends?"We meet Mort! Nehemia is murdered. 😭 Celaena avenges her by killing Grave. She opens a portal to talk to Nehemia and then accidentally opens a portal into a much darker world (or Archer does?). Archer gets what he deserved. Sorcha heals the crew. Chaol finds out that Celaena is fae (and Aelin), and he arranges for her to go to Doranelle.
Edit to add: I loved this book!
Briana wrote: "Loving it 🥰 Assassin’s Blade really set it up well in the beginning leading to TOR with Celaena Sardothian’s character as a whole."I agree that The Assassin's Blade set it up really well. I went into Throne of Glass already rooting for Celaena.
This is my favorite series, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's opinions!
I honestly could have done with a little less dad-related emotional trauma but, otherwise, I really enjoyed this! I loved that Daphne and Miles' relationship grew out of friendship. It was really sweet.(Also, I can't believe Peter and Petra had the audacity to invite them to their wedding!)
I personally liked that we got to spend some time with the Inner Circle without all hell breaking loose. I binged the series, so I appreciated the 'break'. It was like a Christmas special, and I thought it set up the next book pretty well. But yea, not much plot.
Martina wrote: "YEEEES! we still didn't know anything about Rhys but I just pictured Damon on that very first encounter with Elena in the middle of the street and I was immediately sold XD..."You're making me want to re-watch TVD. ❤️
And RE: the ACOTAR TV show on Hulu, we don't have a date yet. There's a recent article on TODAY.com titled "What’s happening with the ‘Court of Thorns and Roses’ TV show?" that has an update (Goodreads won't let me link it in the comment).
Martina wrote: "Ok, I'm finally here with you guys, I finished #1 last night and I'm already reading book #2! Even if I'm late to the discussion I had to join... it's been A WHILE since ACOTAR entered my radar and..."Martina, I love your comparison to Damon and Stefan! I'm also team Damon and I felt the same way! I was intrigued from
"There you are. I've been looking for you," said a deep, sensual male voice I'd never heard.
Michelle wrote: "I agree Feyre may be in denial... That also makes me sad for Tamlin... WOW! I so look forward to this series. Maybe I'm just too excitable. The club books have been amazing!"You're not too excitable. I've read the entire series, and it really is amazing!
Hi everyone! I'm Valencia. I'm originally from Guyana but I now live in South Florida. My favorite genres are romantasy, romance, and fantasy, but I try to read a few books out of my comfort zone every once in a while. I also have a low bar for DNFing a book because life is too short.
I've never been in a book club because I'm a mood reader, but I'm trying to be more social and I'm looking forward to discussing books with all of you.
I usually set a goal of 12 books per year to limit the pressure, and then if I complete more I consider that a bonus.
My current hobbies are reading and pilates.
