I made my mom's recipe for cherry chicken for Christmas dinner this year, and it was a huge hit!
Chicken (either a whole fryer cut up, or chicken breasts)
1 21-ounce can cherry pie filling
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
There are two ways to fix this.
First method (stove top):
In a large pan (big enough to fit all the chicken), brown chicken in a little bit of oil. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour over chicken. Simmer until done.
Second method (oven):
Again, brown chicken. Place in casserole dish. Pour topping over and bake at 375 degrees until chicken is cooked through.

I think this updates every time I read a new one lol ... right now I just finished a book I won here on the First Reads giveaway, Strings. EXCELLENT book. It deals with string theory in a way that everyone can understand it, while spinning a tale that spans this and other dimensions. Really good, and definitely recommend it. It's on my favorite shelf.

The most exotic thing I ever had was at a wild game feed put on by a local church some years ago. There had been a wild cougar that had gone into an elderly woman's garage ... long story short, a couple guys from the church shot it and BBQ'd it. It made me mad that they killed it, but I wasn't going to let it go to waste, so I think I was about the only person brave enough to actually try it. It was really good!

My fav would have to be Chinese, and if I had to pick one thing, it would probably be sesame chicken. ... Of course, everything pales when compared to chocolate!
