That is so very exciting! I remember when Augusten Burroughs replied via email to a compliment I gave him!!! I felt so honored. Plus realized authors are real people too.
Great for you!

121177 The Phantom of Fifth Avenue The Mysterious Life and Scandalous Death of Heiress Huguette Clark by Meryl Gordon
Chapter One. The Clark Family Reunion at the Corcoran.

"Located just two blocks from the White House, the Corcoran Gallery of Art feels as if it is off the beaten path in Washington, drawing just a fraction of the city's tourist throngs."

I don't think of this as representative of how great this biography is. Better is the caption of the photo adjacent to the table of contents: "William Andrews Clark spent $7 million building his 121-room mansion, the largest private home in Manhattan. It was torn down in 1926, eleven years after it was completed."

121177 On my good reads account, i just add the books "to read" under MY BOOKS section.
I do get distracted by all kinds of titles too. and am guilty of checking out too many books from library. Trying to get better about it, since library is open all days of the week except for holidays
