The more it snows, the more I want to curl up in front of a fireplace and just read. Does anyone else feel this way?I just finished Agatha Christie's "Lord Edgware Dies." A very good mystery that kept me guessing until the very end. Now I am going to try and finish Malcom Gladwell's "What the Dog Saw and Other Adventures." It was recommended by a patron. So far so good.
"Untold history: world-building at its best."I'm counting "world-building" as one word. Lol.
Currently reading Martin's "The World of Ice and Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones." Such a great book. The detail is amazing. I love world-building and this is one of the finest examples I've seen.

Would it be weird if I said I am looking forward to serendipitously finding new 2015 books to read at the library? I really don't have any series I am reading with new books coming out, but I am excited to see what new books show up on the carts and to perhaps find a new favorite!

Oh, my word!!! It's out?!?! I had no idea the graphic novel was out. What a great Christmas present. Guess I'm going to be taking a trip to Barnes and Noble to get it. I love Firefly! Thanks for posting this. :D
I've been on a Tolkien-kick recently so most of my "really want to read" books are from or about him.
I'm finally getting back into the game now that school is officially over for the summer. Picked up A Game of Thrones to read plus also Tolkien's The Silmarillion.
I picked up the YA novel "Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell. I thought it would be an appropriate read for me because I have spent the last month reading fanfiction and neglecting my 52 books. So far, so good. Though I do object to the fact that all fangirls are shy, introverts; I know plenty who are not. Still, a nice storyline with fun characters.
I'm reading Pride and Prejudice this week. It's one of my all-time favorite books and I thought it would be the perfect read to start off the new year.
