look out for every word you don't know, which at first will be more than not. google their meaning and write them down, make kind of a glossary, and once you get this going, you'll start googling less and less words bc you'll start understanding them in context and whole sentences.
the first time reading in a foreign language is always difficult, but don't give up! good luck :)

i mostly use tabs! i have a general color code. to give u some ideas, mine it's something like this: :)
- pink for cute scenes, - blue for quotes i like, - yellow for descriptions, - orange for fav scenes, - green for shocking moments, etc.
and then sometimes i use a pencil to write down my thoughts next to a particular quote.

oh and also the inheritance games, i know a lot of people love the series but personally it reminded me of a fanfic which is... not good for me.
