120448 We're more so being watched because of the whole NSA problem. Every electronic thing we do is being motored which is not good for individual liberty. Are civil liberties are under threat because of this practice. The longer it's allowed to expand the worse it will become.

120448 I'd say people more so fear too much government. If there was no government you'd be free to do as you wish, which includes killing and raping. But if it is to much government you would not be able to get away with killing and raping but nothing is stopping the government.

120448 “What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again.” -Mockingjay
This one is my favorite quote. I'm in agreement with Sarah.
120448 I am very close to libertarian views so I am for limited government and civil liberties. When I saw the Hunger Games movie I was extremely interested because of the constant surveillance. I wanted to know in detail what happened in the during the war before everyone moved into those districts to cause such a horrid practice of the Hunger Games.
120448 I don't find it weird that there is not any sex in the Hunger Games. I prefer a no sex I feel that an emotional connection does not need sex. I want to feel love between two characters through there actions but I do not care for one of those actions to be sexual activity. I just all around lose interest when sex is involved in a book or a film.
120448 I only finished the first film and plan on getting the first book soon so I'm a bit unsure but couldn't someone who won the hunger games use their name to give them power to speak against the hunger games as the winner of one of the games? I think that may work..
120448 I fight everyday. By simply speaking out against government I believe a peaceful revolution is necessary. I do not want any blood shed but we do need a revolution. I speak to people within my city mainly my college, like and share photos on Facebook, make Facebook status talking about the problems, sign petitions, and voice myself on youtube. I have slowly helped some people become aware of what the government is doing. But it's not an easy task and I am usually ignored.
120448 I am 20 years old and currently a community college student getting my associate of arts and my associate of science degree. I'm going to get a bachelors degree in dietetics when I transfer into a university. I want to get involved in improving peoples diets but I have a strong interest in running for a position in the Congress.

120448 My favorite scene is when Rue dies. I hate and love it. Of course I knew she was going to die but how she'd die is what interested me. I was shocked that she died so quickly in the film. I wish she lived longer. I loved how her death caused such a great feed back within her district. Her district was done with the games, consumed by rage they fought the guards. Nonetheless, I really liked the character I wish she was in the film longer.
120448 My first impression? I was surprised of the level of inequality. The elite offering this false hope does not seem far to different from this "American dream." It's also interesting about the relevance of the surveillance state. Constant watch over everyone. I was constantly reminded of what the national surveillance agency could become if the power is unchecked.
