Losing our liberty for their security..
Actually what is going on worldwide now days.

Lombards were a tribe of warriors that didn't want to pay tributes. They liked fighting instead of paying.
They occupied most of italic peninsula and by the time they were taking most of the Roman uses and titles.
But Roma didn't fall because the Lombard, it felt because the emperors had build a society that gives privileges to the citizens as "panem et circus".
In this point Lombards wanted richness that Romans had but Romans didn't know how to protect it, too much laziness.

And yes Ï think social isolation contributes to the lack of attitude of rebellion against injustice.

So instead to be serve by government and administration we are rule by them.
In some point we stop to be free citizens to become vassals of our rulers.
I think we need less rules, less State and take over the steering wheel of our destiny and do and then live and let live.

We have to learn "wars are not good" even movies, tv... say are necessary.
Then we can teach it.

Ben Franklin
Governments have convince us we need more security, there are terrorist groups, assassins, robbers and unlimited amount of bad people that wants to harm us.
We get use to new rules, we line up in the airport, some smile to cameras, some people watch their neighbour in case (they could be criminals).
I think we get use because it's not done just at once. It's done step by step, every day we lose a bit of our liberty but if you compare 1970's with these days it can be scary how private and deep are they going into our freedom.

This is my first course in Liberty Academy and I like to learn. This has been a good start. I've been interested in some subjects related to Liberty Academy that's how I ended up doing this course and I really like it.

They come from different worlds but in some point I think they have the same role and similar development.

I am a little confus..."
I agree with you if you look at a country like US or some EU countries, but if you look at the world it is different to be poor in Somalia or to be poor in US, for example. That way there are different
welfare or protection from the States and poverty in different countries have different meanings.
If you look at this map http://blogs-images.forbes.com/evaper... you can see how is diveded the world and one of the reasons that creates this situation is the policies that developed countries impose to developing countries as well as custom duties or bureaucracy that makes for them difficulties to trade.

Governments give us protection and media entertain and manipulate us.
