120448 This is where I tend to have a problem with how Hollywood presents these stories. They leave out so much information in exchange for glit and glam. I think that the overview of her father being an individualist is spot on. No matter what kind of society you may live in these basic survival traits can save your life. Being self sufficient is a must to be successful in this world.
120448 Anytime there is more evidence presented of The Hunger Games creation drawing from historical record I am even more intrigued by the writings and films. Truly a compelling work.

120448 From the first movie I liked the scene where she outlined the girls body with flowers. Even in the face of adversity she kept her respect for other human beings and stayed true to the cause.
120448 Im Josh, from Texas and I want to finish off my degree in Journalism while I expand my families business and eventually become an investigative journalist.
120448 I think that the most relevant theme is how the people struggle against a government that only values them as work horses and not as equal individuals.
