Cool well if we all decide on the dice man we may not even need to do the hat. Haven't read the book thief. I have eyed it off and have heard it is very good. I don't mind trying those style of books but need to be able to stop n say it's not for me. Mum told me the plot line to boy in the striped pyjamas and I nearly cried from her just telling me about it and then had nightmares and I didn't even read the bloody book lol so completely understand your reaction to Marley and me lol

Choosing a couple then picking out of a hat sounds the easiest. My two picks for the hat are

Btw i am happy to change my pick if for example someone in group is uncomfortable with reading a book i put in the hat. I know there are certain themes or genres that aren't for everyone. Personally I can't read books about the holocaust as I just find them too upsetting and confronting so I completely understand if there are books others may want to veto down the track :-)

I haven't seen the movie so I think it was easier to read as I wanted to find out what happened
