I love making new reading friends! Rose Cottage is not my favorite by MS, but so many others are! Thornyhold is my favorite. Next to that is This Rough Magic. I have read many of them tho and we have a Mary Stewart group here on GR. They rotate the books. It is a pretty active group.

I loved the Woman in Black too! Def a fave. I forgot about that. I just love lonely old houses with sinister things going on.

I don't really consider myself a classics person. I do love a good ghost story, a haunting, witches. I especially love old, creepy houses on an island or the coast in my gothics.

I have been in several gothic bookclubs on GR thru the years but many of them fell apart. I used to read Victoria Holt, Phyllis A. Whitney, and Daphne de Maurier a whole lot. Oh, and Mary Stewart. I have some favorites among those.
