I agree with you. To add further I feel that "thoughtless" and "no thought" are not the right words to describe meditation. In meditation thoughts are there, we simply are not attached to thoughts. Like a football player, who is so involved with the play (the present) that he hardly notices any thoughts. Thoughts come and go, he is not bothered by them as he has become the play, he has become that moment. You must have felt that while writing. We all become meditation from time to time.
