119800 Greetings New Age and Metaphysical Self Help group,

I joined Goodreads and your group the other day. I just published a new book entitled Finding Your Safety Net: Do Having Faith, Being Baptized, and Taking Communion Have Value?.

Yes, there is a question mark at the end of the subtitle.

Are you searching for the purpose of your life? Are you searching for a survival tool that is unconditional, reliable, and unique for you? Are you struggling to accept what you know to be true because you can’t verify it?

In “Finding Your Safety Net”, I offer an encouraging and inspiring, spiritual how-to guide that leads to a tool which can help you overcome personal, occupational, and existential crises. A former agnostic, atheist, and semi-Buddhist, I share my journey to discover the unique survival tool I was seeking.

For everyone, especially agnostics, semi-Buddhists, and spiritual folks, I describe what convinced me to have faith. I also give compelling reasons for why you can survive depression and spiritual attacks.

I chronicle my story of survival in five testimonies. I discuss:
• how I know souls and spirits exist,
• how I came to believe in God,
• how I came to believe in the Christian God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit,
• why I decided Christian baptism and Communion were for me, and
• a truth I discovered about the genealogies of John the Baptist and Paul the Apostle.

119800 Greetings New Age and Metaphysical Self Help group,

I joined Goodreads and your group last week. I also just published a book entitled "Finding Your Safety Net". For more on it, please see my posting under Book Promotions. I joined your group because I am very interested in spirituality and metaphysics.

Briefly about my background in metaphysics and spirituality: months after falling into a two-and-a-half-year depression in 1997 and immediately after nearly jumping off a six-story building, I dove into metaphysics. Six years later (2003), I had an encounter with a deceased person’s spirit or soul; a witness can confirm that the encounter took place. The experience converted me from atheism to spiritualism in the sense that I became a believer in souls and spirits, and a semi-Buddhist. Thirteen years later (2016), I experienced a 72-hour spiritual attack. These experiences have shaped how I view spirituality and my purpose in life and place in the space-time continuum.

To learn more, please see my book “Finding Your Safety Net: Do Having Faith, Being Baptized, and Taking Communion Have Value?”. Yes, there is a question mark at the end of the subtitle.

I’m a social scientist/historian and make a living as a professional genealogist. I'm also a former stage actor.

I look forward to the interesting discussions here.

With Regards,

Glen
